HOMCOM 32L Motorcycle Trunk Tour Tail Box Top Case Luggage Storage Case Trunk Carrier Mount Rack

Firstly it arrived quick, even though it was delivered to the wrong address initially.I didn't expect a right lot for around £20 but unusually I was pleasantly surprised.The box was well packaged in a plain box without any polystyrene (which was nice) and arrived in perfect condition.It is a nice dark charcoal grey in appearance due to the textured surface and the large reflector looks like it'll be a great addition to my scooter.The lock comes with 2 keys and feels sturdy and looks be be of a reasonable quality, I wouldn't be keeping the crown jewels in it but it'll keep sticky fingers out for a bit.The rack on my scooter is small and slopes downwards but it had to suffice, the base plate has lots of slots so should be able to adapt to most racks, I only used a couple of the bolts from the kit as my rack is very limited, I did however add a couple of beefy cable ties for good measure.The box fits snuggly onto the base plate but I added a couple of strip of Gorilla tape to take up a small amount of play (I hate anything that rattles) the wheel then bolts the box down onto the base and sits fairly flush.I removed the lid stay as it wouldn't stay open due to the slope on my rack but this is not a fault of the product.My helmet fits in on it's side and some thin waterproofs will live in there full time, my small rucksack will fit while I'm riding ( I'll have my helmet on, obviously) so 28 litres is snug but adequate and anything much larger would look daft on my scooter.In conclusion, very pleased with the quality, like the styling and the colour and how it sits on my scooter, would I recommend it? If you want a good box on a budget for general commuting and a bit of shopping then yes, 100%

The media could not be loaded. Big enough for a helmet & the odd bag of shopping. It's exceeded my expectations. Comes with a metal mount which seems sturdy and easily fixed to my existing factory rack. The box itself is lightweight and goes on and off easily. Note an advised 3kg max luggage weight limit is printed inside the box so use appropriately. If I am being critical the metal base plate feels cheap & nasty but can't be seen with the box on. I didn't like that it does not come with any rubber spaces so it has scratched the paint on my rack. I would recommend using some tape or rubber on any contact areas.

Excellent build quality, design and reasonably priced too. Highly recommended.

This box (28L) fitted to my CB125F grab handle in less than 10 mins and seems to be nice and secure. Its big enough for my helmet and gloves or my back pack and locks whilst riding. Obviously the security isnt overwhelming as you could cut through it with a stanley knife. But a determined thief would make easy work of most storage solutions. For the price I am more than happy with this and can't believe just how good it is. Im back pack free when riding and helmet free after dismounting. :-)

Updated: 02/02/2022After securing the box with two full steel plates to the mount as described on my original review, it took a further 1-2 wks before the mount shatter under the weight of holding only the box. Box was empty.Sorry but I wouldn't touch this box due to the mount not being able to hold it to the bike, EMPTY.The last photo shows the mount after being secured with two steel brackets.----------Original Review.I purchased this box for my sons moped for xmas.The box itself is nice design and very spacious, nice price.Now for the disappointing bit, the mount is made of plastic and the brackets provided don't really work, as the first time my son went out with it on, it fell off due to the brackets turning due to vibration.This damaged the box and also damaged the mount slightly.So I made two brackets which covered the full area under the rack on the bike, this stopping them from turning.The other issue is you can't over tighten as the mount is made up of a mesh like configuration in which the bolts go through, this thin plastic snaps if too much force is used. This stopping you from getting a good tight grip between the box mount and bike. (This may be dependant on your bikes rack configuration).Although the box is damaged, it's still usable. So time will tell how long it stays on the bike, this time.As I mentioned the box itself I like, so I would have given it 5 stars, but the mount lets it down.So if you decide to purchase this box, then make sure you use another method of mounting to your bike ( again this highly depends on your bikes rack configuration, and the original brackets provided). Also be careful not to snap the plastic mesh during installation.To the manufacturer, I would highly recommend increasing the plastic thickness to stop the mesh from snapping. Mesh shown during 2nd installation before further bolts were added showing the damaged plastic mesh.Original brackets shown, these may be ideal for your bike.
