They work well.
Stabilicers do substantially improve traction/stability on icy surfaces. I find the extra-large size too small for easy on/easy off for my size 11 running shoes, but they do stay on for the run. I suggest getting extra cleats as with time they do wear down. Also, I coat the bolt-end threads of the cleats with Vaseline to facilitate the eventual removal and watch for wearing. If you let the cleats wear down too far it can be difficult to remove them. For running or walking on ice, I go with these.

very sturdy & they give me much more confidence walking in icy conditions
I am on my second pair of stabilizers. When I had the first pair I didn't realize I could replace the studs until they were too worn down to remove. They're great when you want to hike or take a walk when the conditions are snowy and icy. I bought a size too large for my shoes because when it gets below freezing I'm not going to be wearing my sneakers outside. I put them on my winter hiking boots. They're also great when you're cleaning off your driveway. I won't buy anything else. Amazon asked me to review because I just bought 2 more pairs as Christmas gifts for my sons. They wear a size 12 & 13 shoes. I hope the extra large is big enough for them to get over THEIR boots. That's the largest I could buy. I wear a women's size 11 shoe or a men's 9 and 1/2. The size large works well over my winter boots.

Sure footing when running on packed snow and ice.
These make great traction. They are a touch on the heavy side and they don't fit great on the odd-shaped Altra shoe toe boxes, but otherwise these are durable and work great. Can't vouch for their capability for super-athletes, but at my amateur level I have been able to bang out 5 miles at a time running on our frozen lake at 8-8:15 minute miles.

Fit specific - but great.
If these fit the shape of your shoe, they are awesome. Great traction aide for a running shoe. I haven't tried the "walk"version...but I feel like these would just feel more natural on your foot.

Great running cleats
Did a few tentative runs when I first got them on really icy days. I was pleased to find that these cleats did the job VERY well. After reading the reviews I went with an XL (I'm a size 11 in womens) and they fit my running shoes perfectly (and snugly).
