Absolutely Amazing Speakers!
First off, I am a guy who doesn't write reviews. It's not really my thing. When I received these speakers I felt like I had to let EVERYONE know how good they sound. Good is an understatement...Amazing is the appropriate word.I tested the F1 812 as a standalone first. I thought it sounded nice but there was a little something missing. Then I realized I had it on the setting for use with a subwoofer. When I switched the setting to Full Range the 12" subwoofer kicked in and I said Yeahhhhhhh, that's it! The speaker was on a low volume setting and the bass was still very present with the mids and highs sounding perfectly balanced in the mix.Next I tested the F1 812 paired with the subwoofer. I didn't really know what to expect since the subwoofer consists of 2 10" subwoofers. I switched the F1 812 to the proper setting for use with subwoofer. Since it was late at night when I tested this I had the volume turned way down as to not disturb my sleeping son. The volume of the subwoofer was turned down very low...to the 8 o'clock position. The F1 812 was a little louder...set to the 9 or 10 o'clock position. I hooked up my Pioneer Rev 7 controller to mid volume and pressed play. Holy S***!!! The bass! I couldn't believe it. This set up is barely turned up and it filled my large bedroom, attached bathroom and the sound reached into the living room and kitchen. I yelled to my wife who was in the kitchen "can you hear that bass?!?" She said Yes, it sounds great! I was super excited because I had never heard speakers perform like this. I turned the volume up a little more just to get an idea of what it is truly capable of. All I can say is OMG!I own QSC K 12.2's, I own JBL speakers, I own a couple of Electro-Voice subs. I am a true audiophile. Please trust me when I say you NEED these speakers. I know they are expensive. I bought two pairs, but I don't feel the least bit sorry for spending the money. I'm actually happy! None of the YouTube videos I watched about this speaker combo prepared me for how great they sound in real life. I'm using one set for my first gig with them tonight. No need to bring the 2nd set. One set up will be more than enough for this house party. I can't wait!!!
