Wow - A wonderful, eye opening read
I bought this book to participate in a women's Bible study at my church, and it did not disappoint! The chapters are thoughtful, challenging, and easy to digest in a week preparing for the group setting. In my life, I regularly battle all of the giants tackled in this insightful book, including anger, worry, fear, jealousy, doubts, etc. It was interesting to consider how each of these very real emotions can become sin or an idol in one's life. David Jeremiah offered multiple real-life examples for each giant then deftly shared tangible, actionable insights on to go to battle against them each day by keeping God at the center of our lives. My Bible study leader had the companion book and led us through meaningful and thought provoking discussions each week. Would highly recommend this book to ANYONE as we all can learn something from Jeremiah's battle tools to live victoriously.

Excellent book
My girlfriend and I read this book and discussed it with each other. This is a very good an practical book to slaying the common giants of Worry, anger, resentment, fear, jealousy, doubt, discouragement, loneliness and the like. I got some great insight out of this book and the good part of this book is that Dr. Jeremiah goes right to the scriptures for his foundation. Unlike the self-help books, which rely on human power and human wisdom, the source where David Jeremiah gets his power and where the Christian gets his power is the Holy Spirit & the scriptures. I have gotten allot out of this book and would subscribe it to all Christians struggling. Unfortunately, the humanistic self-help books written by popular motivational speakers like Joel Osteen, Robert Schuler, Andy Andrews, and others are far more popular among our pagan generation, but that does not make it right. The motivational speakers do not believe in suffering, and will always cherry pick the Bible if they decide to quote from it, or call themselves a Christian. But their foundation is never the scriptures, but is self-help methods. David Jeremiah has delivered a well written and researched book and I encourage all christens to get a copy.

Good book for new converts as well as seasoned Christians.
My church began this book for Bible study. We finished reading the first giant of fear. I found the writing and scriptural references valuable tools for learning and increasing my growth in my journey with God. Data provides fundamental and practical information to enhance ones knowledge of the Bible, soul searching and evaluating your relationship or lack of a relationship with God. I highly recommend this book.
