As I initially stated, the pan and its two removable handles are great quality.]I love the heft and simplicity of the griddle pan [very nice quality] but (as other reviewers have commented), the wooden board/trivet is cheaply made. Mine arrived with a hairline crack where the glue-up had been made between two of the boards. Be prepared to buy some other type of high-temp trivet for the hot griddle because even IF this hadn't been cracked, it's not durable enough to last very long.

The media could not be loaded. Had this up to 850F to sear some tri tip steaks in the pizza oven. Wood serving board cracked after putting the hot plate on it once.That's HOT, and I expect charring. I wouldn't even really expect the wood to last long term. But the whole point of the plate is to go in a pizza oven at extremely high temperature. So, I do expect the wood to last at least a few uses.Giving this 5 starts because the plate itself is perfect, I'm(sadly) not surprised about the wood because I read the other reviews, and I can sit the plate in silicone pads or my grill instead.The angle of the removable handles is perfect for pizza ovens

We have an Ooni Karu 16 & we love it !Now we can do steaks in it .We do them about 2 minutes per side on the cast iron Grizzler .They come out medium rare with a great seared crust & juicy .it's a little heavy , but what cast iron cookware isn't ?

This is a high quality cast iron with dual surfaces. Good as or better than expected. Only thing for me is that it gets a little wonky using the insert handles to maneuver the cast iron in and out of the grill, etc. It takes a while but you will adapt your preparation process to make it work. My wood board has held up nice but I have not washed it because I think water causes splitting. The wood will show some burn marks due the high heat of pan but causes no issues physically to the wood plate. It fits perfect for the ooni and I use it on my gas grill too.

Unfortunetly the first time we used it this the handle snapped off and my husband dropped it on the kitchen floor. Due to it being extremely hot it left a melted mark on our floor. I don't write a lot of reviews but just wanted to write a little be care blurb on here because our floor now has a perminent spot in the shape of the pan where it fell due to the heat. Don't hold by the handles!

We have made vegetables, fish and fajitas with this and are very happy! Of course we have only had it a short time and not sure if it will rust prematurely. Obviously we are seasoning it and washing it carefully!

I’m a huge fan of Ooni and really wanted to love this product but just after one use of this griddle, some of the surface coating, particularly on the edges of the pan, are starting to chip in small areas. Cast iron pans are supposed to last decades. I didn’t even know that chipping of the black surface to expose a silvery material below was something that happened to cast irons so needless to say I was surprised and quite disappointed that this happened to an Ooni product. The 3 stars I’m giving it is mainly for the design (the pan’s concept is great with the two sides and removable handles) and how it allows me to expand the use of my Ooni oven. If only the coating of the material was higher quality/more robust.

The media could not be loaded. I used it ONE TIME. I washed the wooden board ONE TIME after it got some steak juices on it. After drying it warped a lot. And then promptly broke in half. This is bananas. Y'all charge an arm and a leg for your products and then send THIS to your customers? I get that the board is not the focal point of this product but this is still a slap in the face. If you're not going to make a quality "accessory" then don't include it at all. C'mon. Do better.
