While my original review (BELOW) was true of my initial experience, a few months down the line, it failed. Customer service was great and they quickly replaced the faulty unit, but here we are again. I just came to see how my batteries were charging and the lights were out. Picking it up, I could hear something rattling around inside. As it's now about a month out of warranty, I decided to take a look and found the casing off a capacitor, loose in the case, and the internals of it, still on the board, with its wadding flapping around.I honestly cannot recommend this charger, as that's 2 dead in just over a year and of course there could be a safety concern here. I also notice that I'm not the only reviewer to have had this issue.ORIGINAL REVIEWThe charger is straightforward to use and charges batteries quite quickly. Certainly compared to the USB powered charger I had been using, this seems to perform much better. My old charger would takes hours to charge batteries, to the point I considered them to be duff, but this charges them quickly.

Good product, charges batteries in no time at all

Very pleased with this charger. Charges both AA and AAA rechargeable batteries. It is so fast too. Much better than my old one. Great value for money.

Perfect for charging batteries for my grandsons x box controller, and it shows you them charging and when they are charged , great buy.

This charger works well enough for charging both AA & AAA batteries. The down side is that when the batteries have been placed in it, it is really difficult to get them out again when charged. Mind your nails! Also i have to unplug the whole unit when it is not in use otherwise the bright green light stays on all the time. Serious waste of energy plus very annoying as it lights up a darkened room.

Be helpful if it indicated if properly charged, only in a second and it says charged by green light that showws, surely should take longer than couple of seconds. When trying to use batteries after charge, lucky if they last 10 mins before needing charging again, ended up taking ally batteries to be recycled in the end.
