Couldn't be more pleased with this product.
This box is proof that not everything made in China is sub-standard. When you pick up this box, you can instantly feel by its heft, texture, feel and solidity that it is indeed a quality item. The hinges move smoothly with no side-to-side wiggle. The latch closes with a reaffirming click that lets you know it is fully closed and doesn't feel like it's going to snap off after a few uses. The upper and lower halves line up perfectly when they close together. The individual compartment bins have very snug lids that re-assure you that even your tiniest surface-mount components are not going to spill out. And, to top it off, they even included a set of angled tweezers with each box to help you pick the SMD components out of the bins. To give you a comparison, these almost feel as solid as a Pelican travel case - *very* impressive.I have about a dozen parts storage cases for all my larger electronic components (those translucent/clear cases with movable dividers) from Home Depot and they don't hold a candle to these. If AideTek made these available in sizes for other items, I would gladly replace all of mine with them.Kudos AideTek.

Excellent box for SMD components.
This is a great package for small components that don't need static protection. I store my SMD resistors, capacitors, Ferrites, etc. in these units. The small fixed compartments open and close with a audible click, never leak, never open by accident. Ditto for the external latch. The labels are small but big enough to signal what's inside each compartment (i.e. something like "CC 16V 0.1 0603" to describe a Ceramic Capacitor in the 0603 form factor with 0.1uF capacitance and 16V max voltage). However, I don't like how easily the labels start to peel after application, despite being very careful not to touch the label underside during initial peeling and application. While I primarily use these enclosures for SMD components, small through-hole stuff will fit also. These compartments are just big enough to hold a few TO92 components, DIP4, and like stuff. For bigger through-hole gear, I'd look to the other chests that AideTek sells, such as the AIDETEK BOXALL48.I also would urge the OEM to stop including the cheap tweezers they include with the unit. Those things are so crudely made, they don't work well for fine components. Either step up to the tweezers included with the ESD unit (which are sharp and well-machined) or not include anything at all.

Great (but small!) boxes, kinda crap labels
These boxes are nice and sturdy and having tons of tiny compartments to put all my different SMD components in scratches my OCD organization itch perfectly. Between these two and the ESD-safe one I also got I've been able to cram thousands of components in something not much bigger than a few books, and am able to find them within seconds without having to dig through several different parts bins or storage boxes. My only gripe with the box itself is that the doors can be a bit hard to open, and I sometimes have to use something like a screwdriver or the back of my tweezers to gently pry them up. If you're too forceful, when the door finally suddenly pops open it can send the parts inside flying everywhere. After this happening twice I got a handle on opening them gently and haven't had any issues since. The reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that the labels it came with sucked - it came with one single sheet that doesn't seem to even have enough labels for all the compartments of one, let alone the *two* boxes in this two-pack, and the labels appear to be generic sticker labels that aren't particularly well sized for the boxes - they're a bit too small, and they've got highly rounded edges. The doors to the boxes are so small that fitting the label information in that space is already difficult, and if I had used the labels that came with it I'd be losing another few mm on each side and more at the corners where it's rounded. It just seems like they were thrown in as a cheap afterthought, which is a shame because the the box itself is very solid and well-designed. I threw those labels out and made my own with some blank shipping label sticker paper that I made a word template for, then just cut them to size.

Good solid durable SMD case.
Small bins for SMD components. Quality is top notch and very durable. Only drawback was labeling as you would imagine. Bins snap with each and never come undone.
