Smooth, powerful, and quiet
The 27T that came with my SCX-10 was good, but I felt like it was sacrificing some low-end torque and throttle response for speed, which I didn't necessarily want. You may be able to replace the motor without detaching the motor/transmission module, but to ensure you get everything lined up properly, and all of the spacers/washers in place, it makes things A LOT easier if you remove it for this.I noticed right away that the motor is a lot quieter than the stock 27T. The stock motor wasn't really noisy, but this definitely halves the sound output. Low-end throttle response was greatly improved. I have a lot more control when moving carefully around and over rocks, but there's still plenty of punch when pulling the trigger. It's not slow, it just won't pull away from me when walking casually. I'm also running with 2.2 tires, which probably adds a bit more speed, so your mileage my vary (literally). This is a good motor to buy if you aren't interested in going really fast, but rather exploring terrain and stuff.

Honcho motor
I replaced the stock 27T motor with this one. The higher the T or Turns, the more torque, and the slower it runs. Compared to the stock motor, I am guessing half the speed at full throttle but twice the torque. Thats just a guess. Sometimes you need that wheel spin to get over the sandy hill, or through the mud, and in that case there just isnt enough. Sometimes you want to have great control over how slow you are going, real smooth, not jerky, this is the motor. I also think, the drag brake works better.Update: 2 years + years later, still the only motor I run. 2 G6's and and an Axial-fest later still running strong. You are not going to win ANY drag races! In order to finish first, first you must finish. This motor is slow, slow does not get get you into situations where you are high-sided. Still swear by this motor.

NICE MOTOR!
Got this to add some torque for the Hpi Toyota fj cruiser. Got this combined with gmade 1904 tires and the hobbywing 1080 esc. MAN IS THIS SWEET! DO THE WATER BREAK IN! No issues runs fine plenty of torque and a sweet stable sloooow crawl. Made all the difference I expected! Highly recommended and I will definitely buy again!👍🏁

Strong motor
I bought this as an upgrade from a 35t motor. I mostly do crawling so having more torque was a better option. This is a strong motor and I have had no issues yet. The speed is about similar to an adult jog, not fast but strong!

Nice upgrade
I bought this motor for my crawler-converted HPI Wheely King, and while it slowed the 'King down a bit, it gave the 'King more power overall. This motor is a bit longer than others, so I had to carefully grind down the rotor shaft on mine to get it to fit on the reduction gearbox that my WK uses. This motor is worth considering if you want more raw torque and don't mind sacrificing overall speed to get it.

Great crawling motor!
I replaced the stock 20t in my wraith with this motor. Also paired it with an 87 spur and 15 pinion. Moves at a fast walk, but can crawl over things like a slug with finesse and strength. I like to pretend slugs are strong. Running a 2S now and the motor only feels barely warm to the touch after a full 5000mah lipo run. If you are hitting mud and sand, I'd recommend the 35t or a 3S (with a BEC for your servo) to get the wheel speed up. But if you want true scaled crawling, this is the one.

10/10 Buying one for each of my crawlers!
I came to this to buy another one for a new scx10 and Amazon told me "You purchased this item on May 15, 2015" It's been more than a year and it's still working perfectly in my first crawler! It's still just as strong, fast and quiet! I love this motor!

The price!!!
So I think I finally got the motor broke in. Not to sure but maybe lol. Anyways this definitely has torque WOW!!!. I'm so surprised i didnt break anything even having the axles caught and snagged in rocks. The top end isn't bad but not trail worthy. Need atleast 45t for trailing. My opinion! The drag break it really nice. Makes a slow slow crawl downhill.
