You have to take a little extra effort to use these, but after buying pre-ground that tasted like nothing I decided to go for the whole pepercorn. I wish I did from the start.They have that pleasant tingling I was looking for

Ok. So I've always been curious about this product. I like spicy Asian food and hear of this often...so I got it. Yup. Hold on to your hats...this is where stupid begins!!! I smelled it. Smelled nice. Not super strong. So what do I do?!!! I put a couple seeds in my mouth and OOOOOHhhhhhhh NO!!!! First of all it tasted like acidic soap! Soooo gross!!! It wouldn't stop permeating my tongue. DON'T TRY TO PUT OUT TASTE AND HEAT WITH WATER!!!!!!! MILK!!!!!!!!!

I've been meaning to pick up some Szechuan Peppercorns for a while after loving the experience from a local Szechuan restaurant's dishes. These have that flavor enhancing tingle I'm used to from that place!I'm looking forward to experimenting with using these in all sorts of dishes.Even tossing a few into a bowl of instant ramen and letting them steep in the broth while the noodles cook made a big difference!
