Amazing!
Why does this get 3.7 stars?? Glad I didn’t pay attention to the reviews and bought the remote. It does exactly what I needed it to do. Yes, it’s not what the picture advertises, but cmon the remote in the picture looks like it’s from 1972. Glad I got a functioning, sleek looking remote. 10/10!!

An updated version was sent—but it is all good
Like other Toto products, the quality, the finishes, etc. are all impeccable. Seriously, I can’t believe they are able to sell such a high-quality product in this price range! Now, I was hoping to receive the original beige/orange THU9018 as pictured on the product page, but I received the chrome version. I am okay with that, and it does look sleek and modern as seen in the picture I am posting here. The ONLY function the new version is missing is the “close lid” button—which is not a huge deal because the lid closes on its own anyhow.All in all, I am perfectly satisfied with this product, although I do think the product picture needs to be updated, so there won’t be any surprises.

The Toto company is dysfunctional.
The Toto company is dysfunctional. I ordered the remote: Toto THU 9018 through Amazon Prime, where Toto posted a listing for this product. Toto sent a different model remote with an enclosure that reads, "Production of our previous remote control has been discontinued." I called Toto and spoke to an extremely rude representative named Chris. I am concerned that Amazon Prime would want to deal with a company who can't provide the product that was ordered.

A different model was substituted for the described remote
Apparently the remote I ordered was replaced by a new modern remote. The description showed the original remote. Since I wanted the original remote I had to return it. I have the original fixed to the wall I didn’t want to remount a new style remote. Looking for the original remote on line.

It works and is reasonably priced
When I had the neorest refurbished, it was like new except for the terribly yellowed remote control unit. This solved the problem.

It’s not going to look like the photo on Amazon when you order it.
I’m confident that the new remote for TOTO neorest will be just fine. I ordered 3 and they don’t look like the originals made of plastic. They twice the size and have a brushed metal case. It comes with a note saying that they have updated the original THU9018 with a new model.
