Ma! There's Nothing to Do Here! A Word from your Baby-in-Waiting (Picture Book) Hardcover – Picture Book, January 22, 2008

This book is a funny tale from inside mom’s belly. It has a beautiful rhythmic cadence, wonderful illustrations, and is adorably lighthearted. Reading to our baby before he was born was important to us and this book was our absolute favorite. Now I like to gift it to friends for them to enjoy reading to their babes.

My husband ordered this book to read to our baby in utero. It was both hilarious and cute. We were laughing out loud the whole time. I loved Barbara Park as a kid (her "Skinny Bones" book was my favorite) and I was delighted to find out that she had written this cute little baby/fetus book. We would highly recommend it to expectant parents. It ranks right up there with "Oh Baby, the Places You'll Go" as a great book to be read in utero!

Cute book to give as a shower gift or to mom to be to start the habit of reading to baby.

I got this book 16 years ago when I was pregnant with my first and read it to my tummy every day. I really enjoyed the book, so much so that I bought it for a coworker who is having their first baby.

Loved reading this through 3 pregnancies, especially with the eager sibs. Have gifted it several times!

My two-year-old loves this book and often chooses it for one of her bedtime stories. It was a fun way for her to imagine what her brother-to-be was doing in my belly when I was expecting, and it continues to be a favorite story. There are a few words on each page that are typed in a different color, and my daughter likes to point at them and say, "What's that word?" My favorite page is the one where the text is written in a swirl that says, "I'm all in a heap here, my feet are asleep here, I'm totally bored with this dumb bungee cord. I am not kidding you, Ma! There's nothing to do!"

First time mom! I'm so glad I ordered this book its perfect very well written

I'm still waiting for my baby to arrive! I love reading this book to her at night and once she gets here will be a great book to read and talk about all the things that she was doing in my belly :)
