Pentair Pentek PD-25-934 Sediment Water Filter, 10-Inch, Under Sink Polydepth Polypropylene Replacement Cartridge, 10" x 2.5", 25 Micron

I bought a house with a filter AFTER the water heater (shrug) which takes this filter size. I've been continuing to replace it every quarter as instructed. The filter seems to be doing it's job. It always comes out dirty and you can tell when the filter needs to be changed because the hot water doesn't get as hot. Then you change it, and it burns your hands off. It's a quality filter that does the job it's meant to do. I would buy again and continue to buy when needed.

We've purchased a few of these and they work well. Will buy again when we need to change the filter in a couple of months.

Really had to crank this badboy down tight in my filter housing. Not sure why, but I haven't had this issue before. Filtration, once everything was snugged down, has been exquisite.

All made from (PP) - the best you can get on the market. Made in Korea-superb workmanship!!!The Water quality in NYC now going downhill ...so, after 3 months I must change this 1 micron filter, because this filter catching all kinda of girt = clogging faster. Best of the best. Buy it!

We kept the 20 micron filtering for 10 to 12 weeks then replaced. Filter was dark but weight was minimal. After running the 5 micron for 6 weeks, the water pressure was dropping so we replaced it. The filter was real dark and weighed twice a much as the 20 micron after 10 weeks. So, my conclusion is that the 5 micron filtered so much better (weight and color) and will extend the life of my softener, hot water heater and faucets. We will change the filter at 4 weeks so the water pressure is not effected (at this price it won't break the bank). Delivery was one day even though we live in a remote area. Stick with Pentek or other name brands.

We have a really good well but even with that there will still be stuff in the water. This Pentek filter takes that stuff out before it reaches the water softener and keeps the water softener clean and functioning properly. If you have well, I highly recommend installing one of these Pentek filters.

I bought the 25micron version of this Pentair filter to use in the Pentair 10" red hot water filter that fits the description of the model 150015. The filter almost fit, but the plastic support tube inside the wrapped filter material WAS TOO LONG. It protruded slightly out of the filter material at each end, and was tall enough and stiff enough to prevent the filter housing closing. It left a significant gap, at least 1/16" between the o-ring and the flat surface on the top of the filter unit. It is very strange that the Pentair 10" filter does not fit the Pentair 10" filter housing.
