Cambro(RFSC12PP190) Cover for 12, 18 & 22 qt Round Containers

I purchased this lid and a matching12 qt. container because of a recommendation in the book "Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast" and if you are considering it for similar reasons I have one warning. I am male, 77 years old and weigh around 205 lbs and it requires my full strength and weight to get the lid to snap into place and the use of a table knife to pry it off. Before I got it, I was using a smallish green plastic pail with lid that I got from Menards and other than not being able to see through it, it worked fine and I still use it on recipes that require two containers so you might want to consider whether you want to pay that much extra for something you might not be able to use. Of course, YMMV.

If you have a regular Cambro container (the ones that are milky-colored and not completely see-through) this will fit, but if you have a Cambro Camwear container, what you want is the Cambro Camwear RFSCWC12135. I have created this product 1 star because buyers shouldn't have to find that out by buying a lid they can't use.I got the correct lid from Smith Dynamic Goods here on Amazon.***************************Updated to four stars. bread making, tub works well

So far it has been really difficult to get the lid on the matching cam to 12qt tub. It’s doable but takes some effort and persistence. Not sure if this is normal or if I got one that is a little tight but, be aware it may take some considerable effort to get the lid on the container.I bought this to mix sourdough in so I do remove the lid several times during the dough process and while challenging to remove/replace overall it serves its purpose.

This was difficult to locate, I had the canister, and no lid (probably in storage). I was excited when I finally located the exact match to my canister. These canisters hold a large amount, and with the lids, they are air-tight. Keeping things fresh for a reasonable period of time. I have decorated cakes professionally, and kept frosting in these while waiting for cakes to be ready for frosting.

Natalie's Warehouse was good in trying to resolve my issue. It seems that you have to order clear lids for clear pots, not initially clear since they do not come as a set.

I have the Cambro 12 qt (RFS12PP190) and this fit perfectly. I was unsure as the model number of the lid is RFSC12PP190, but it fits, perfectly. My tub is the clear but more milky and not crystal clear.

All the reviews that say it is smaller than container are accurate. However because this lid is soft plastic - I used hairdryer to heat up the plastic and bend the edge out a bit with pliers. I got it to fit on the container. Let it cool down and took it off. It still was hard to put back on. I think I will try hot water soak and maybe dishwasher (taking it out prior to cool down) to see if I can get it to go on more easily.You should not have to do this - but it's worth a try. Clearly the manufacturer's mold did not account for shrinkage after forming and they need to adjust their process. @Cambro needs to adjust their manufacturing process.
