Items works, description has a small but important error.
Turns out the ULT and EEP pins on this board are often confused, the "Gikfun" webshop/site shows the same incorrect info as the item description, but a webshop/site called "FilaFill" has the proper pinouts (and a handy diagram) which you can google yourself to confirm (i.e. "DRV8833 FilaFill").Instructions for use: (Original text corrected ULT to EEP - which I guess is short for SLEEP):EEP low level is sleep mode (need to disconnect the J2 short solder joint behind the module - it came disconnected for me which is good - but its not marked with any silkscreen text as to what it does)OUT1, 0UT2 is a 1-way H-bridge, and the corresponding control is IN1, IN2.OUT3, 0UT4 is the second H-bridge, and the corresponding control is IN3, IN4.ULT is the protection output and is not used by default. (You can leave this disconnected if you want)VCC is a voltage input of 2.7 to 10V. (3.3V seems fine for both motor power and logic for the tiny motors im using.)GND is ground.

Poor description and iffy build - read EG's review. Doesn't work out of bag but Easy to fix.
See the review by EG (thanks) which covers most things. Also if in doubt about how to use there is a good DRV8833 Arduino Tutorial online if you search for it.Basically the board should come with the J2 link shorted if it is to work out of the bag, It wasn’t shorted on any of the five I received. Also one of the five blew the capacitor when powered with 9v (see picture) so either poor capacitor or untested assembly.Once working was actually a very good value for money motor driver but to help others I would suggest that the description is wrong and should read:Features:Single H bridge output current: 1.5A, can drive 2 DC geared motors.Built-in overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, undervoltage lockout and over-temperature protection. With low power sleep mode (needs J2 shorting or EEP setting HIGH to wake device).Uses: It can drive two DC motors up to 1.5A and a single 4-wire stepper motor.Size: 18.5*16mmInput voltage: 3v – 10vInstructions for use:EEP “low” (0v) level is sleep mode (J2 not shorted) EEP “High” (3.3v or 5v or short J2) is active mode. J2 is not shorted (ie in Sleep mode) as delivered.OUT1, 0UT2 is a 1-way H-bridge, and the corresponding control is IN1, IN2.OUT3, 0UT4 is the second H-bridge, and the corresponding control is IN3, IN4.ULT is the protection output and is not used by default. If needed it should be connected to a pull-up resistor (eg 4.7k) and is active low (0v) when a fault is detected.VCC is a supply voltage input of 3v to 10v.GND is grounded.

3.5 out of 5 supplied were non-functioning
Like another reviewer , I received 5 and of the five, only 2 were functioning, and of them, only 1 was fully functioning in both bridges, but no led.so, for 3, the led did not work and neither bridge workedFor number 4, the led worked but while one bridge worked fully, the other bridge only worked in one direction but at least the the led worked .For the last one, both bridges worked but again no led.I tested the leds separately because by then I had created a test circuit to drop them into and individually the leds all functioned when voltage was applied across the led, so the leds were viable but they wouldn't come on as part of the device. The test circuit exercised the two bridges, sensed ULT and both jumpered and pulled EEP high separately. The silkscreen is very low quality as is the soldering.Due to the led behaviour and the low number of passive parts, i suspect that the chip itself was duff in the non-functioning parts.

Good performance, low price
Avoids problems with mounting SMT, add a pull up resistor to the sleep pin, and you get a high power, temperature compensated MOSFET driver, in a simple module.Better performance than the L293D.

Only 2 of 5 working
Only 2 of the 5 boards worked - luckily i only needed 2 for my project otherwise this purchase would have been a complete waste of money - would not recommend
