Works great, nice build quality
I am using this device to connect two PCs and a game console to a single monitor. My monitor is a 1080p ultrawide monitor, and it is working flawlessly. This device is allowing me to switch between my two PCs at ultrawide resolution to the game console (Nintendo Switch) at 1080p. For sound, I am taking advantage of the device's optical sound output to feed the optical SPDIF signal to an external DAC. This way I can flip between all three HDMI outputs and not require a separate sound selector. The IR remote feature is icing on the cake. I didn't realize that this device had that feature until I opened the box. I am able to mount the device under my desktop and run the IR remote sensor to a convenient and inconspicuous spot.Just a couple side notes. One of my PCs runs Linux, and the sound output was a little wonky. I kept experiencing about 5 seconds of silence at the beginning of each thing, whether a video, music file, etc. I solved this by running the command "play -qn" in a terminal. This feeds a zero sound stream to my audio device at all times. I believe the silence is caused by the audio device being in an "idle" state, and it requires a few seconds to kick back on. Feeding a constant stream of zeroes solves this.Secondly, I really hope I can daisy chain these devices. Eventually I want to use HDMI output #4 for multiple game consoles, all connected to another HDMI selector. If this works I'll report back.

It works like it's suppose to
Main basic function of swapping between more than one video source works perfectly for me during the five months I've had it. Able to switch between video game consoles and pc smoothly with a press of a button. Main disappointment about product is the remote never seems to work for me and I'm less than a 2 feet away from the receiver. But since I'm close and just need to press a button on the box itself or turn on another device to switch to that console it's not so bad.

The remote works from the couch!
I've purchased about 5 different products similar to this unit and I can say this is the BEST one in quality, operation and performance.Other units have a hard time with the auto switching. This unit does BOTH auto and manual. The REMOTE is the BEST! It works from far distance. The other units I had to be standing 2 feet from the unit to change the input. SO ANNOYING!I would highly recommend this unit.

Died in two months, buy something else
Worked OK for about six weeks then the unit died. I contacted J-Tech and after several back and forth emails I eventually received a label to return it to them. I had to wait a week for them to receive the defective unit and then ship me a replacement. The replacement was obviously used and so were the accessories unfortunately. Not impressed with this company and I would look elsewhere in the future

Issues with Amazon Fire Stick 4K - Otherwise works great!
TL;DR - Works flawlessly with a variety of devices, but consistently broke when used with a Fire Stick 4K (both with and without the HDMI dongle).Equipment:- TV: TCL 49S515- SONOS Beam- Amazon Fire Stick 4K- Chromecast- PS4- Nintendo SwitchOriginal problem:My TV (TCL 49S515) has a known audio lag issue when passing audio through ARC or via the optical out. I have audio over ARC to a SONOS Beam. It happens when it receives a Dolby 2.0 signal, which is how the YouTubeTV app on the Fire Stick outputs most of its sound (especially on DVR recordings). TCL recommends that the fix here is to have the TV output stereo (PCM), but then I would lose my surround sound (DD 5.1). I use the Fire Stick because I have them all over my house, and my family is comfortable with the remote, which has IR support as well. Because this remote doesn't support input switching, I rely on the HDMI CEC functionality to switch inputs. In practice, this means that to play PS4, i just have to hit the PS button on one of the controllers, and the input switches. To get back to the TV, I just need to press the Home button on the Fire Stick remote. It works flawlessly.Solution?:I was hoping this 4x1 HDMI switch with audio extraction would solve my problem. The Fire Stick would be connected to the switch. The switch would output HDMI to the TV, and audio over optical to the BEAM. I would lose the ability to turn the TV on/off over Google Assistant (normally handled by the BEAM via CEC), but was OK with this tradeoff.Result:At first, everything appeared to work as expected. No more audio delay. I did notice though that my TV did not correctly detect the Fire TV Stick when discovering CEC devices. Auto switching was also finicky, and while I could auto-switch between my Chromecast and game consoles, I could not consistently auto-switch back to the Fire Stick. The following morning (and since then, any time the Fire Stick goes to Sleep), the HDMI switch would fail to output video for any device. Any of the following actions would resolve the problem:- power cycle the fire stick (by pulling the power cord)- unplug the Fire Stick- power cycle the entire hdmi switchThis was not acceptable with my setup. I had identified that the Fire Stick somehow put the HDMI switch into a poor state when it went to sleep. I'm guessing something to do with the CEC handshake. I've seen other reviews here that reference similar issues. At the end of the day, I moved this to my office setup, which does not have a Fire Stick 4K, and it has been working flawlessly, including auto-switch for all devices (Macbook Pro, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Raspberry Pi, outputting to a monitor over HDMI). My TV audio remains either with a delay, or down-mixed to stereo :(. Maybe a 4x2 HDMI matrix would help, but I haven't found any for <$100 that also support Auto Switching.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do in my application
Aside from having no problems with it for its intended purpose, I like the sturdy metal case and the very low profile. I didn't encounter any of the problems that some have reported, but my use case isn't very complicated - just select from four 1080p HDMI inputs (no fancy audio, either). For something this sophisticated, the price is great.

Should have bought this months ago.
Works great so far. Sound goes in and out with optical but from what I’ve read I need to adjust some settings on my Roku and blue ray player to work with my sound bar. No problems using the audio cable though.

Pretty sure it wasn't Amazon but...
The product is great. Pretty sure it wasn't Amazon but definitely was USPS. The package was tampered with. Not cool at all. That a felony.
