Wow, what a great great brush. All I have to say is if your a bigger guy with larger than average hands this is the brush for you. I would say even if your average size this is still a great brush. I use this for head shaves and face. I mainly wanted to find a larger brush to cover my head with more ease because some of the smaller regular size brushes just didn't cut it. This knot is big and beautiful on this brush. I soaked it in warm water with dish washing liquid (palmalive) the day I got it for an hour and man o man after it dried, it bloomed into this huge beautiful dense loft. Because of the low price I wasn't sure how good it would be but man was I surprised with the hair on this brush. I can't say enough about how full and luxurious this brush is. Because it's "pure" badger it still has great backbone. And the tips are really soft. There honestly is zero need to go after "best" or "silver tip" after seeing how quality some of these "pure" badgers can be. This thing makes head shaving a complete breeze. It covers my whole head in seconds. Exactly what I was looking for. I admit I was thrown of by the marketing terms like "king size" and stuff. But I went for it and I'm so glad I did. If your a bigger gentleman and need to cover your large head lol than look no further. I will def be ordering more Parker items in the future. For the other stuff like the stand well the plastic stand does the job and I have no intentions on ordering a separate stand. And the handle is kind of like an marble dark greenish color. Not the prettiest but I honestly don't care it's comfortable to use and that's what matters. No one sees my brush so I'm not into trying to find beauty amongst these products. I just want something that works and for a good price. Exceeded my expectations by a landslide!! This thing is a beast. For anyone just looking for a normal size brush Might be a tad to big for an average size face. But with the quality of this brush I would not hesitate on ordering a regular size Parker brush for your face. There prices are great and quality is awsome!! Just in disbelief over the size and fullness of this knot and loft. Truely remarkable!!

This is my third badger brush. My first was a silver-tip brush that my wife got for me. It lasted for 15 years. The next one was a cheap eshave brush that was rough and smelled like a wet dog for the first month or so that I used it.This brush is big and the knot is full. It holds a lot of water and lathers up nicely. It is soft and a pleasure to use.I have no doubt that a brush of this quality would sell for double the price (or more) if it had one of the big manufacturers names on it. It would probably triple in price if you were to buy it at Art of Shaving or Caswell Massey.I do believe that there are times that you need to pay more for a quality product. This just happens to be one of the times that you get great value at a great price.

I was expecting more from this brush however my disappointment was due to the fact that the bristles were too hard, not soft and way too long and full.This made it difficult to generate a good lather on one’s face, would not recommend , just saying and my opinion only.

My decision to switch from canned shaving cream to the old-fashioned brush is something I haven't regretted. The badger bristles make lathering up a pleasure. I don't bother with the cake soap sold for these brushes because it works with any soap. It's great for travel because I no longer pack a bulky can of shave cream and simply use the small bars of facial soaps provided by most hotels. A great item for its price and it rinses out and dries quickly, too

The "KING Size" is basically a "normal" size - exactly like Van Der Hagen brushes, so the Van Der Hagen brush stand will fit. The Parker King Size brush is significantly smaller then brushes such as "RazoRock Plissoft BIG BRUCE " and "Omega Shaving Brush #10048 Boar Bristle Aka the PRO 48". I noticed soap color has changed, when I tried to soap the brush for the first time. I soaked the Parker brush in water - so the water became brownish and I had to change water 4 times before it became clear. Are they suppose to clean the brush on the factory or they add some "real badger" odor and color on purpose? :) The handle quality and shape are more or less the same as for Van Der Hagen badger brush, which costed me $22.00 in a set with bowl, stand and soap. The stand which I received with Parker brush was thrown away immediately due to its very low quality, so I am using the one from the Van Der Haggen, which fits perfectly. The bristles of Parker brush looks fine for now after extensive washing and soaking. However the bristles quality is comparable to 1 of two Van Der Hagen brushes I used to have (both of the same model, but 1 of them was used for 1.5 years and the second one was junk). I hope it won't shed and will keep it's shape based on other reviews. The conclusion is the following: If you want to save money - go with the budget "Omega PRO 48", which is a GREAT brush for only $10.00 with outstanding performance. However, you will have to invest more money and get more expensive model, if you are looking for a luxury badger brush.

I wish this would have been the first shaving brush I purchased though I may not have appreciated it as much if that were the case. This brush has literally not lost one bristle in about a weeks worth of shaving! Super soft, no odor (even so I did a gentle shampoo of it before first use as recommended) and amazing lather producer!The Escali I was using never stopped losing bristles despite always using it properly and drying brush down in a stand.The only nitpick I have with this big brush is the unexpected free stand that it comes with isn't a good size match so I use my previous purchased stand and it still has to be mounted at the knot below the actual handle. Awesome brush though!
