Built For Sound
I wanted a set of big, powerful speakers with an excellent sound and that's what I got with a set of Behringer Eurolive VS1220 12" speakers. This is a passive 600-watt speaker so a good amplifier or powered mixer is indeed a necessity. It has a 12-inch, low-frequency, long-excursion driver that pumps out deep, punchy bass with no distortion while its electro-dymanic, high-frequency driver delivers clear, crisp highs - altogether giving this speaker a wide dynamic range and a rich, clean sound. I played the speakers through the Behringer PMP530M powered mixer cranked at half volume for an hour and they sounded great at continuous operation. At 24" tall and 17" wide, this is a big speaker, but at 37 lbs. it's not very heavy. With its built-in side handles, it can be moved easily - no strain on your back or arms - and fits comfortably in the trunk of my car. Very transportable.Behringer makes professional sound equipment affordable. And for $100, a 600-watt speaker of this quality is an EXCELLENT value! I highly reccommend it.

Five Stars
Best speaker for the $$$.... they sound great and pack quite a punch for a smaller speaker!

Speaker Works Fine and Price is Right
These speakers work fine for the few times a year my Dixieland band plays a venue where we need amplification. We have used them in a ballroom setting with several hundred people. They sound good for the traditional jazz style that we play for the vocals, amplification of the clarinet and banjo . I'd give them a 5 star except that one of the speakers arrived with a small dent in the grill. It's not so bad that I went to the trouble of sending the item back but I can see it so it just bugs me somewhat. The audience really wouldn't notice it and it's pretty much what you expect for normal wear and tear. Other than that they look and sound great for what I believe is an unbeatable price.

Not a great speaker, expected...but not even a good value, surprised.
I was putting together a cheap (lightweight) travel set-up and thought I would give these a try. I have used some Behringer equipment in the past with success...mostly eq's, amps, mixers and the like. When the speakers arrived I did a visual inspection and the build quality was more than I expected at this price. I gave them a quick listen and was pleased with the purchase. I recently had an outdoor venue and decided to see what these could do with a set of 18" subs. I knew these speakers would have to work hard since it was an outdoor venue and I would usually use dual 15" cabs for the top end but I thought they would be up for it, they weren't. I was giving them some clean 300 watts rms, per channel, from a Crown amplifier, well within their claimed "600-watt" rating. A bit into the night, when a few drinks have been put down and peoples hearing starts going bad...the volume continues to rise. I decided to increase the gain just a little to the Behringers, seconds later my treble is gone, both tweeters fried. Luckily people are a bit buzzed already and I get through the night. When I get home I crack them open to see the damage, this is when my disappointment sets in. These drivers are honestly the worst build quality I have ever seen. The compression horn driver weighs in around maybe 200 grams and made of thin plastic, crazy. The woofer has maybe a 30-40 oz magnet and what looks to be a 1" voice coil. I had to rebuild both of them and wished I would have just spent the money on the initial purchase and went with a low cost Peavey. I truly have seen better drivers on Pyle Pro equipment.Bottom line, if you are using these at lower volumes in a smaller space they will probably work fine. If you are receiving money to deliver entertainment it is not moral to bring these to a gig....shame on me.

Speaker Not Good, No power
The speaker is low quality. True Power rating is low. No volume level at all and sounds bad too. Get batter quality speaker from seimics audio.

Very reasonable price, great sound.
Bought these to step up a bit from a very starter set of 12" cabinets for the acoustic group I play with. Wanted to improve the sound quality, but stay with a reasonably light setup. These fill the bill well. I drive them with a Behringer PMP2000 powered mixer, and they are a definite improvement over the old set and pretty easy to handle.
