As title. Together with firewire cable was able to transfer for Panasonic DV tapes to my computer then onto NAS.

Easy to install, works well.
I added this to an old PC with Intel LGA1155 board. The PC runs Debian. I booted the PC and attached my Nikon LS 4000 ED negative scanner, switched it on and it was immediately recognised and ready to use.The card uses the very common VIA VT630# firewire controller and it's fine!

Working great.
I am using this with a outboard soundcard/mixer. This is much better than my previous card. Seems much quicker. Would recommend.

Not suitable
Despite taking all the anti static precautions this item refused to be identified by the bios on my PC and hence was not available to Windows. Very disappointing.

Cheep and cheerful
Cheep and cheerful. Works with AsRock MB, Wndows 10 and most of the free capture software. My only regret is that I did not look carefully for a low profile bracket, but it is my fault and it still works. Cable is with the smaller connections.
