Cradle Mattress - 18 X 36 X 2" Thick by Unknown

This mattress seems firm enough, is a full two inches thick and the other measurements were faily accurate. However it gets 4 stars because the picture is inaccurate. The piping or seam on the edge does not go on the corner of the top and sides (and bottom and sides), it goes down the middle of the side. So there is only one seam around, not one around top and bottom as shown in the picture. So it has a little lump on the side. Not that that matters much, but I ordered this one instead of others listed on Amazon because it was A. made in the USA and B. had two seams on the side. It's still a pretty good mattress.

I bought this for an older crib I inherited from my grandmother. There were no mattresses that would fit it perfectly so this was the closest I could get. I wanted a new mattress to replace the old original one because it was starting to smell "old".The mattress is waterproof and seems like it will hold up well. It is not as thick as I was hoping and I hope it will provide enough support for my baby when she comes. I might have to use a few blankets or the original (stinky) mattress wrapped underneath it. It is a somewhat tight fit for my crib, but it will definitely work. Because it was thinner than I was hoping, it is more bendable too. I am happy that it still fits the nice sheets that my grandmother made for the original one though.I will update once my baby has had a chance to sleep on it for a little while.

Just what I wanted. I am building my third cradle (the nieces and nephews and grandkids keep coming) and this time I wanted to build the cradle around the mattress instead of having a custom mattress made to the dimensions I ended up with (expensive). My only complaint is that I wish they made one a little smaller; this is a bit larger than I think is needed for a cradle. Of course, it has not been used yet so that still needs to be evaluated, but it seems in all regards to be perfect.

I ordered this mattress in hopes it would fit the same baby bassinet that I had used when I was a baby. The one that used to be in this bassinet was small and gross so I was searching all over and I came across this mattress. When it arrived I put it in the bassinet and it fits perfectly not to loose and not to tight and the thickness of the mattress is perfect.

This mattress is very thick and firm. My son sleeps very very well on it. The only issue (not really a deal breaker) is that after just under two months of use it has started to get warped where my son's body lays. I flip the mattress every time I wash the sheets, but it is still showing signs of wear. I hope it lasts longer than I think it will.

This is a nice firm mattress that fits a standard 18 x 36 cradle but who manufactures it? The Amazon description says "unknown" and that it's made in the USA. Beyond that (assuming it's accurate), who knows? The mattress has no tags or markings of any kind--not even the standard tag saying it's all new materials--and there are no indications on the packaging of a brand name, origin, or anything else. I don't like that, but it otherwise seems like a good product.

My mom dropped off a beautiful wooden cradle which I will be using next month, but the 1" pad was torn and old. It also didn't seem to offer much in the way of support or comfort. I was afraid the 2" mattress would be too soft and allow the babies face to sink into the mattress causing possible suffocation. It exceeded my expectations because it is very firm, so a newborn cannot sink into it, yet it offers more comfort and warmth from the wooden bottom of the cradle than that flimsy 1" pad. It fits in the cradle perfectly. Just make sure you measure your cradle. I'm extremely happy that I won't have to worry about her sleeping on it. Thank you very much.
