For me the most obvious drawback is the size. It's approx 5 1/2 " by 7". ( about 2/3 size of what I expected.) Reason being, if I put my large mixing bowl on it, even though it's glass, if I add ingredients into it, they will block the digital.readout. The way around this is to weigh things separately and then add them. No big deal I guess. The color is metallic aqua, which is fortunate as my kitchen is white, blues and aquas. For smaller items it's great ! The readout is so sharp and clear, and switches back and forth readily between units. I guess I just was expecting something larger, but with that in mind, yes I recommend it. Don't forget to remove the plastic film.
