Bottom line: This cleverly designed device WORKS! I see a licensed massage therapist on a regular basis, but my stress at work & from the computer continues to knot my muscles up at a faster rate than my massage therapist can get rid of them. The only way my sinuses drain is when my knots get worked on, so I am only "clear" after a massage & for about a week later. Now, I finally can have clear sinuses every day! I have been using this daily since it arrived in the mail last week and my sinuses are clear! If you are on the border of whether or not to purchase this, cause if you are like me, you think the price of $30 for a molded piece of plastic is too high, which it is, but with all the positive reviews (and I am so glad people took the time to review since that is what helped me make the decision to buy it)I figured sinus relief for a one time shot of $30 has got to be worth it. This device is more incredible than I ever imagained. I am in my mid forties and have been suffering from back knots for about 5 years..I wish I had known about this a long time ago. It allows you to be in complete control, you use whatever pressure you want and work out any area you want. One end has a larger opening than the other, so it allows you to work further down your back. The shorter S end allows you to easily work your upper back. This device is so easy to use either sitting or laying down. I am very glad I purchased this and have shown others...now they want to buy one too!

I have had back problems for over 40 years. I have had 2 back surgeries in the past 3 years. While going through my most recent round of physical therapy I discovered the Backnobber. I tried it at the facility and immediately went home to find and buy one. In the past I would have to roll on a tennis ball on the floor to relieve the pressure points that would occur(something I learned years ago from one of my chiropractors). It wasn't the easiest thing to do, especially right after surgery. Getting down was not to bad, but getting back up was a bit more difficult. Although that method worked OK, the Backnobber is a superior piece of equipment. Very simple in design but most effective. It is sturdily built yet you can take it apart for easy of packing when you travel. I never go on a trip without it. Because of it's design you can pin point the problem areas and apply as much or little pressure as it takes to relieve the muscle knots. With the ball on the floor routine, it was not always as effective as you would want. You would always be moving around (using your muscles) that you wanted to relax to get the ball to the point you wanted it. With Backnobber you can comfortably sit and apply pin point pressure, without contorting yourself which is kind of counter productive.

This was recommended to my by a physiotherapist. I have had neck pain and upper back pain for years. Physio is great but sometimes I have really bad tension and no access to a PT or MT (evenings, weekends). This tool is way more effective than trying to massage your own back, and lets you reach most of your back with ease and apply a good amount of pressure with very little effort. It works okay on legs, arms, etc., but is best for the back. I have used it on my neck as well but it's not quite as effective because it's a bit harder to get a good angle. I really appreciate the fact that the Backnobber is made of two detachable pieces so I can bring it to work or when I travel. It comes with a booklet that details many pressure points and strategies for not only using the tool but also for doing stretches afterwards.

Despite all the technology developed for back massagers, a simple ingenious "S" designed plastic tool is the best i've ever used. The full control of the location, pressure and mode of massage is solely in the power of your hands. With a simple forward pull, it delivers the most effective deep tissue massage. I highly recommend this tool to anyone with stubborn knots. The one criticism i have is the difference between the one i bought and my friends i originally used. The latch that holds her 2 pieces together is a lot more firm and sturdy - her's is a circle button. The one i bought has a rectangular button and i find it has a little give when applying pressure. Still very effective, however.

I was very skeptical and debated buying this for a long time. I had the original metal version with the wooden balls on either end. But this works just as well. I like that it's light weight and it comes apart for traveling. If you have knots that you can't reach in the top of your shoulders, don't hesitate. It really does help, I can feel the tension draining after just a quick massage with this. And you can do it yourself, you don't have to have anyone help you which is nice.

Got recommended this by someone over the cheaper alternatives as he tried and tried many different brands and styles and found this to be the best one for the grips he created to resolve trigger points in the neck and back. By the way the guy that recommended this to me he has a free massage/de-stressing program and has helped hundreds of people resolves different varying "head" illnesses.... dizzines stuff, headache stuff, hearing/ear stuff etc, the program is curalistic.org (its totally free) - and no he doesn't sell these massage tools he just found this one to be the best for his special grips. ANyway back to the backnobbber, I let my brother use it and he said it's the only thing he's ever tried that gets one particular spot on his neck/trap muscle that nothing and no one can ever hit properly, so I bought him one (well I gave him mine and bought myself another one).

Thanks to this magic tool, I can unblock my arm to make normal movements.

Pricey but works extremely well for self-shiatsu and pressure point therapy. Comes with instructional manual that is very helpful. Bonus is that it comes apart, in half and is easy storage and easy to travel with. If you have tense shoulders and muscles and no one to give you a massage or cannot afford a massage, this product will help you. It's great for those sore spots under the shoulder blade that get sore from sitting at a desk. I would absolutely buy it again. I have been looking for it for years and was excited to finally find it!
