This is hard roe. I slice the contents of the tin into four round slices (more with large tin) and fry gently with a little oil. Or you can grill. Serve with toast. Very tasty! Best wishes Rosita

Whats the difference in taste between hard and soft roe please

Soft roe is best fried coated lightly with flour and one would eat it on toast (at least that is how we always had it on a Saturday supper) the hard roe I usually bake in the oven but not too long (you can deep fry is with a batter coating and serve with chips) and you can serve with whatever you fancy. I love it. VCod roe is only available ins January as far as I know from the fishmonger. Happy New Year! Hope it helps.....

The only way to buy cod roe now?

Cod Roe seems impossible to find in the supermarkets these days, so I was very pleased to find this. In all honesty, I prefer John West, but I'm happy enough with this.
