Instructions for loading tape are pretty nonexistent. Figured it out via YouTube and simply playing around with it. The cutting mechanism didn't work so I have to pull the tape through and cut it manually which then causes the tape to come out. I then have to take it apart to reload the tape every time. Annoying. However, this product is fine. Cheap but works and the final embossed tape looks great. I've never used the more expensive types but my understanding is they too are fiddly and temperamental. At least this is cheap!

Not the most intuitive thing the first time you try to put the tape. Feels like you have to push it through, but the embosser takes it by its own by just pressing the trigger. I miss something to hold the tape and it might look like not very sturdy but similar items from Dymo aren't also, at least this one is cheaper. Apart from that, it does what it was intended to do. Simple and affordable.

Difficult to get started but once started easy to use so cant complain the tape could have been much longer
