I Love the taiss GFCI Tester.
This saved me from having a shocking experience. I bought it because I needed to install a higher-capacity wired doorbell transformer to accommodate my planned video doorbell installation. It looked simple, transfer the two bell wires from the old transformer, transfer the white, black, and ground wires from the old one. Before I did anything, I moved the Voltage Tester around the box where the old transformer was installed. It beeped and lit up to show voltage was present. I found the circuit breaker for that box and turned it off. I thought that I had the right breaker because a lightbulb also hooked into that box turned off when I flipped the breaker off. But, guess what, when I ran the Voltage tester around the box with the dead lightbulb, it beeped and lit again showing there was live electrical current present. I initially didn’t want to turn the whole house breaker off because of having to reset clocks, the computer powered down, the refrigerator off, etc. I turned off the main breaker, retested the transformer box with the Voltage tester, and of course, there was no current present. I quickly transferred the wires from the old to the new device, turned the power on and all was well. Tip: if your plan might require your flipping the Main electrical breaker, have a flashlight with you.

Best device for checking wiring AND voltage at the same time
I think this is a great product. Does what it describes and has good clear instructions on it. I wanted to knock it a star for some cosmetic things; but, eyes of the beholder and all. The only improvement I could suggest is to make the voltmeter display larger or (prefer) the overall size of the device smaller (keeping same size display). For whatever reason the body just comes a off as being a little bulky compared to the part that plugs in the wall. Functionality wise; does a job great.

It Works and get the job done.
Everything is OK ,......but the letters at the bottom, which indicate whatever situation are a little bit hard to read under medium amount of light. Other than that, All is OK.

Simple product
This product is simple to use, not complicated at all. I purchased to test my outlets for grounding connectivity. I have purchased grounding sheets and needed to make sure my plugs and power bars were properly grounded so I could get the full effect. I highly recommend. Clear instructions on the item as to what the light mean when plugged in as to what you are looking for. You only have to plug in and push a button. Them the lights come on to tell you if it is grounded correctly or not! Great product for the money paid! I would buy again just to have a extra one in my tool box .

good safety item for students
purchased these for my kids to use so they will be able to tell if there is problem and need to call an electrician. like that it shows the volts coming to the outlet as well that it is wired correctly. as there are splut outlets in homes and apartments (one dual plug outlet two circuits) should be one in every home or apartment, store in a place where it won't get banged or dropped. parents should give one to their students to use in dorms or apartments after showing them how to use them. Also like the bonus feature GFCI ground fault relay
