Joseph Joseph 20099 BarWise Compact Folding Lever Corkscrew Wine Opener with Foil Cutter, One-Size, Blue

This compact tool is well made and substantial in weight. The action is smooth and effective 97% of the time. The 3% rate is due to operator error which requires more effort to complete the job. The cutter blade takes some time to understand how to use it correctly but it works fine. The corkscrew action is easier to understand but learning how to use it properly is the thing. The tool must be positioned correctly on the bottle neck before closing it and applying the proper amount of hand gripping pressure. Doing this correctly centers the corkscrew over the cork before applying the uncorking lever. When I don’t do that correctly I have to repeat and the extra lever (corkscrew) attempts lead to a damaged cork. I think I’m passed the initial learning phase now but my guests are not so I always have keep an eye on them.

A must have for wine lovers. I thought this was pretty gimmicky at first. I’ve had several bottle openers varying from electric to traditional manual but this thing works like a charm every time. Easy to use and quick!

The product seemed to be of a high quality, and initially worked great. Then, one time, while trying to open a wine bottle, it simply broke down into pieces. I did not expect this from a high end Joseph Joseph product.

It does fold down to a compact size, and it does pop that cork right out. No problems there. However, even after watching the video several times, I just can't get the hang of the seal cutter. Seems too "big"? I dunno. When it works, it really works. When it doesn't it just makes jagged cuts or no cuts at all. Can't figure that one out. If I could, I'd give this five stars.

Very good wine opener. It is easy to use and can also be used to cut the foil before uncorking the bottle.

The compact design is great. The easy opening and cork removal is great also. The embedded foil cutter doesn’t work, many people have tried and failed…

This corkscrew is compact and quick and easy to use, though you need to read the instructions the first time, as it is not designed like the two eared corkscrews

Absolutely great. Easy to us without the need for breaking into a sweat. Just what you need to compliment a good bottle of wine.

Jest to pierwszy produkt który tej firmy nie zachwyca wyglądem. Wydaje się jakby była to tania podróbka, plastik nie dokońca wykończony, nie przypomina standardu braci Joseph. Mimo to urządzenie jest ciężkie i wydaje się że nie rozleci się. Ale nie jest intuicyjne, bez instrukcji trzeba się nagłówkować aby otworzyć wino

Wish I had read all reviews rather than Amazon overall rating…. Looks great corkscrew goes into cork and comes straight back out… useless

Easy to use after you get used to it. Still can’t figure out how to effectively use the foiling cutting function yet.
