Absolutely not. You won’t even be able to touch it dry without ruining it with fingerprints.

Does it have UV protection?

Yes. And it has a quality clear effect. I have had mine on my headlights for more than a year and they and the film are as clear as they say I did the job. This stuff is a must-have!

do you need a heat gun for the installation on curved surfaces?

NO, The film is urethane and it is very flexible. a heat gun used improperly can melt a hole through it. You can do a couple of things to warm the surface before application. place the vehicle in the sun or use a hair drayer on low . You can soften the film by placing it on your dash while in the sun.
