The width does not seem to hold for 6 inches.. I like the 10 in length. The width seems to be the same as 4x4 that comes with the Brother SE600 machine. I would prefer a little wider hoop for my SE600 machine. Great product!

I received this product and the grid sheet was printed crooked. I contacted the seller and he was super accommodating. He sent a new one out at no charge to me. Highly recommend. Second product was better and works as expected.

I have bought this twice. The hoops came with a grid each, but they do not match at all. The frame is flimsy, and bows. Screws become loose and fall out and have to be replaced. The second position on the hoop is useless.I make it work with my machines, but wish it was a little better made.

When I purchased this product, I didn’t read the reviews as I was so excited to get it home and working. Many complain that it’s difficult to hoop. I didn’t find that at all. Yes, the long sides are not the same and it takes some getting used to remembering to line up the rounded side the correct way. I have way more trouble with hooping with the one that came with my machine. The plastic is a little less rigid on this hoop which gives more flexibility for harder to hoop materials. With software, this hoop allows way more stitch space without having to unhoop and move your design.

I recently bought a Brother embroidery sewing machine and one of the optional parts was a larger hoop, part SA434. I did a search for this part number and this item came up as a replacement for that hoop. I went ahead and purchased it. It came in a very generic box but the weight and materials seemed very similar to the smaller hoop that came with my machine. It fits on the machine perfect and does work, HOWEVER I'm not really happy with the quality and the way it holds the fabric. The four main corners hold the fabric nice and tight however the left and right longer sides don't stay tight inside each other and doesn't keep the fabric tight. I watched several YouTube videos on solving this problem and tried all the suggestions from a felt "window" to add with the fabric, to tapes, to spray adhesives, to even wrapping the sides with self stick first aid bandage tape. None of them really help. Adding more "thickness" (layers) to your fabric just makes the sides pop up worse when you tighten it. I can (and do) still use it, but sometimes my projects suffer from fabric "puckering" around the embroidery because I know the fabric isn't as tight as it should be, even with 2 or more layers of stabilizer. I haven't researched any other hoops or checked to see if the real hoop SA434 is available directly through Brother, but when a have some extra cash, I would like to research and try to buy another hoop the same size to compare.

Love how easy it was to use. I did have to download a free trial for an embroidery software to make it easier to configure, otherwise, it was great!

The hoop is either a little lightweight or warped, because it doesn't hold the fabric securely on one side. I haven't been able to find another maker for this size hoop, so I played with heating it slightly and clamping, then bending the loose side slightly to get it to hold better. That has helped enough to make it usable, but that shouldn't be necessary. If I had found an alternative, I would have returned it.

I like the fact that it is so easy to use. It fit my brother se400 machine nicely. The fact that you do not have to keep moving the fabric is a plus.Highly recommend purchasing this item.

Does good work on the machine used to have one

Don’t buy this if you actually plan to use it. So cheaply made it won’t even hoop fabric without popping apart or bending.

This thing doesn't hold the fabric in place as the two pieces often slip out of each other. Cheaply made, flimsy quality. Wasted my money it and amazon won't pay for return shipping. So in the garbage it goes.
