I am trying to unattached the old one, as its difficult.

Works exactly as it should, I spend up to fourteen hours a day sitting in my office chair so need to replace either the gas lift piston and or mechanism at least once a year, I went for a 15” one not because I wanted it to extend but because I don’t want it dropping too low when it finally fails.I went for this one simply because it was the cheapest I could find and I have previously gone for far more expensive ones that had claims of lasting longer, being stronger etc but found there really doesn’t seem to be any difference they all fail in around the same time period for me and as they get very high usage I accept this.This arrived a few days after ordering and was fairly straight forward to replace as I have done it many times, a small tip if you are having problems getting the gas lift piston out of the mechanism is heat it and tap it gently but repeatedly with a hammer until it comes out.Overall very pleased with this gas lift mainly on the price and saving as I find them to all be the same and last around the same time period depending on the usage.

I think this is another example of 'you get what you pay for'. I fitted this piston to replace one on an old chair that had failed. Initially, I was impressed as the seat felt firm and good as new. After using it for a full day of work, I realised that I was having to raise the height of the chair throughout the day. I've taken notice of it now and the chair slowly sinks when I use it.No problem, I bought from Amazon, the returns process has me covered. I followed the process to return and selected 'Item defective or doesn't work' as my return reason. I then put comments in detailing why I wanted to return it.I quickly received return instructions which included the following text from the seller - Mk-trading - "As the item is not faulty or defective, the onus is on the customer to pay for the shipping cost." Hmmmmmm, so this is a heavy item. Postage to return it is going to be a few quid and it only cost £6.49 in the first place. So I can't really be bothered driving to my local post office/courier drop off to return this for a net refund of a pound or twoI've written this off and ordered what I hope is a better product. I guess this is the risk you take if you order from sellers other than Amazon.

Although the item arrived extremely quickly and looked to be quite well made. Disappointingly I have to report that the damn thing appears to be failing after less that seven days use. However the supplier replaced the item with a couple days without argument. We we now have to see how long this replacement lasts. I will report as required.No good, the replacement has also failed after a month or so's use. Don't bother with this junk!

Came on time as ordered. No problems so far. Happy so far ☆☆☆☆
