Been using protein powders for years, always bought the flavored varieties. Bc of the taste of most protein powders, I always assumed that the funky bitter aftertaste of the protein powders came from the protein itself and the flavorings were there to mask that taste. Decided to buy this pure isolate out of curiosity and turns out that actual protein is virtually tasteless?!?! This stuff is 26g of protein per 30g serving of powder, so almost entirely protein by weight, higher ratio than any commercial protein powder you can buy simply by virtue of it being unadulterated with any additives or flavorings. And you can mix it in w anything bc the stuff just tastes vaguely milky, does not give that “protein powder” taste. Sometimes I’ll just dump a bunch of it into some milk and then pour it over cereal, tastes exactly like normal bowl of cereal except the milk is slightly thicker but will have like 60+g of protein!!!!! What on earth! This stuff makes it unbelievably easy to hit your protein goals. No taste no smell nothing. Dirt cheap too. And it dissolves into liquids better than any other protein powder I’ve tried, no graininess whatsoever.

It is a very soluble powder with no sweeteners or additives. If you add it to a cup of water you wont even notice a difference in viscosity or even that it is there...until you drink it. Can't really taste it but it has what you need and loaded with Branch Chain Amino Acids, Protein, the absolute lowest in calories of any product for the protein on the market. You can't beat it because I tried after spending lots of money and many thousands of hours of searching. I'm 44 years old. I started lifting weights a year ago, but because of my age and lack of muscle getting started was HARD I was unable to go to the gym more than a couple times a week until I ordered this whey protein isolate and 4 other supplements from "BulkSupplements". Everything ordered has been the absolute most pure with no fillers, its all powder and very mixable and the icing on the cake is their American made products are the cheapest. So...if I make a shake consisting of: Whey Protein Isolate, Creatine, BCAA, L Glutamine, Beta Alanine, drink it durring workout plus some latter in the day, I can work out every day, not get tired, and NEVER get sore muscles. It makes me feel like im on steroids while I'm working out and I feel like my testosterone levels have gone through the roof. I didn't feel like I could review this product without a mention of the others I ordered from this company having such amazing results. I took a very scientific approach to my health transformation and im telling you my formula worked for me and I changed my life...and I did it very fast lol. Lost 60 pounds in four months while unemployed because I wanted to be able to compete with younger ragamuffins in the labor-force. Watch my video if you want. Oh I mixed it up with powdered milk too and that also worked well for me since I already purchased other supplements. It made it last longer. This is the more expensive of the supplements I listed but the others are measured by half teaspoon and so on so they will last a very long time if used as directed. Every time I drink one of my shakes with these supplements then work out, I feel like I could kill a whole bunch of people with my bare hands. It's not like that if I just eat a good diet. These supplements are the real deal. Never get tired, never get sore. One more thing, do you have a job where you feel like you are going to fall asleep while working and it is unbearable? Drink the recovery shake thing with the supliments I outlined here and you'll feel like you just woke up. I give them to my coworkers because they mess up when they're tired and stupid but now they ask me for "Troycain" all the time. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star is because it's 25 grams of protein per serving, not 30 as advertised. With that said, for someone who absolutely despises whey protein, this is really good. The protein taste is very subtle and you can mix it with a variety of different things. I can put a scoop in my coffee, soup, sugar free chocolate milk, and so many other things. Well done! I'll be buying this again.

I'm glad I found this whey. It has completely changed the way I look at...whey. I got it today and have had several servings already, as today's workout was quite intense and I didn't eat a whole lot. To give some history on me, I've been lifting weights for a little under three years now, and I've always gone with the commercial whey powders you find in the supermarket or at supplement stores. No problems gaining muscle, I've been able to blow up big time by force feeding myself protein of all kinds and working very hard. I've come to realize that in order to get the most out of your lifts, protein powder is an easy way to work towards that, and becomes a mainstay for any avid builder. To put it simply, this is all anyone should want in a whey protein powder, because it doesn't have anything else in it. For every 122 calories, you get 27g protein, which is a great ratio. And for $25 (the 1kg option), you get 50 servings, which is 50x27=1350g of protein. That's 54g of protein per $1 spent(!!). That's a practically unheard of value when you compare it to other whey supplements out there. The last whey I was using regularly, also in $25 amounts (I won't mention the name), which I thought was actually a pretty good deal, comparatively only yielded just under 22g per $1. And on top of that, it is higher in calories and requires way more powder to deliver the same amount of protein. Those extra calories come from all kinds of additives that are designed to make the commercial whey powders taste good...usually chocolate or vanilla, which I was never crazy about, regardless of the brand. And on top of that, those other whey protein powders are not especially easy to dissolve into liquids, yogurts, or whatever you're trying to use as the vessel for your whey. I'd always get nice big powdery clumps even after stirring the heck out of those powders. Sure those results weren't ideal, but I figured that was the way whey had to be. Wrong! This BulkSupplements whey is completely different. First is the taste. It isn't supposed to taste like anything, and it doesn't especially. To me it tastes sort of like milk or something, I actually like the flavor. It's subtle and is not at all sweet or sickening like those other much more artificial and commercial whey options. And secondly, it's white, fluffy, and filled with protein and only protein. That means it dissolves very easily, and gives a great protein to powder ratio. So you won't be dealing with some thick, over-filling, clumpy protein shake that forces you to have some weird artificially flavored and sweetened desert drink any time you want your whey. To me this BulkSupplements whey is a great option and indeed probably the absolute best option for people who understand that to build muscle, you need lots of protein...and that commercial whey powders are overpriced and loaded with unappetizing and unnecessary extras. Hey, if you are totally into the taste and price of those name-brand gimmick supplements, avoid this great whey powder. But if you're like me, you'll love this stuff, especially because you can actually get it delivered same-day with something like $35 spent. To me this is something to be really excited about that will make a big, positive change in how I get my much-needed protein!

Like many others, I started a new diet in the new year, and I needed a good quality whey protein powder to make my daily shake. I knew I wanted something clean with no added garbage ingredients and no sweeteners (natural or artificial). I spent an hour or so looking at the options on Amazon and the websites of local stores, reading reviews and learning about emulsifiers. I decided on the Bulk Supplements whey protein powder because of the price and good reviews. I have never used plain whey protein powder before, and I was a little worried about the taste (if you have ever tried plain rice protein powder before, you would understand my qualms). I mixed one serving (30 grams) of this with unsweetened vanilla almond milk in a blender bottle, and I was very pleasantly surprised! It's creamier than other whey protein powders I've tried, and I honestly think it tastes better than many of the vanilla flavored powders out there. I had Designer Whey French Vanilla yesterday and had to choke it down because it tastes so fake, but this powder just tastes clean and creamy, even with thin, watery almond milk. Now, an hour later, I can say I never noticed any aftertaste, either. This is not the case with Designer Whey, which is also full of garbage ingredients. And speaking of ingredients, I read quite a bit about soy lecithin, an emulsifier and the only other ingredient in this product, while researching protein powders. While some people may not want to consume it because of concerns with GMO crops, soy/estrogen issues, or soy allergies, I read enough to assuage any concerns I had over using a product every day that contains a small amount of soy lecithin. I didn't expect anything fancy (especially for the price), but I could not get the package to reseal. I plan to put it into a glass container anyway to store it on my counter more attractively, so I'm not taking any stars off for it, but it could be an annoyance for folks who are just going to use it out of the package. I ended up putting a piece of press & seal over the top of it this morning and will transfer it to another container after work. The second potential negative is that there's no scoop in the package (at least not that I've found yet - sometimes they are like the hidden prizes in cereal boxes that you have to use half of the product first to discover). The standard protein powder serving is 30 grams, though, so you can use a scoop from another protein powder product if you have one, which I happened to have.

UPDATE..... I am finishing up this bag of protein. I will note that it tastes like milk, sort of. I believe it is good quality protein and I can taste the milk. However, I stand by my statement that it will not work in a blender. It will generate bubbles beyond the ability to consume. You CAN, however, stir it easily in a glass with water, but then drink it plain, which is no problem for me. But, no fruit can be blended because a blender will not work with this product. If you are okay with that, buy it. But, you need 1/4 cup to equal 3 tablespoons which is one serving. That's a lot. Consider eggs which is all natural and healthy, good kind of cholesterol. You only need 3-4 to equal one serving of this at a fraction of the cost without artificial ingredients. I WON'T BUY AGAIN OR FINISH THIS ONE. I don't know about you, but I use a blender for my protein shakes. Most people do. YOU CANNOT USE A BLENDER WITH THIS PROTEIN POWDER. Another reviewed warned about air bubbles and he was right! If you blend it, so many air bubbles will form that it will become inedible. You will be drinking air, filling your stomach with air. I let it set for a while but the bubbles did not settle or go away. it will dissolve if stirred into water and It tastes okay, like a milk product. But, you cannot blend in a blender! I contacted seller to ask about the air bubble problem and for a return. They admitted the air bubbles and told me to stir it (and basically, go pound sand). Too bad they want to save a few dollars at the expense of a customer who otherwise likes their other products and money savings approach. Something is not right about this product.

If your reading this your like me, your smart and do your research before you buy maybe even pages and pages of reviews. This protein deserves a review from me as its not just another product, this is a solution. I've been around the supplement and protein block for decades. I have my favorites and decided to give this a try because of other reviews I have read. The reviews I've read were all correct. I'll explain. Cons: Bag is hard to close Here is a solution. After opening the bag for the first time wipe the zip lock clean with your finger and run a nail along the edges and with a little finesse the bag closes perfectly every time. This is the only con I have to me It’s not that big of a deal. Pros: Taste is subtle, clean and good. Tastes just like a clean protein should taste without any fillers. High protein ratio 27g protein for a 30g serving the other 3g are soy. I like that it’s made in Wisconsin. Mixes great with everything I've used so far. After a grueling workout where I’ve drained myself completely I immediately have 12oz of water and 30g of this Protein in a shaker and shake it up and down she goes and I feel pretty good after that! I have a bad stomach too and this protein has no negative effect on reflux for me. The price is right and the product is fresh and its Amazon they will get it to you quick! This protein is in the " Best " category and is purchased by me many times and I have high standards and they have been met. One picture below is a scale with almost 5 full tbsp and the other is a picture of the back of the bag. Give it a go you'll love it. BulkSupplements does a great job with this protein!!!
