Worked great. Drill bit is a nice extra.
Just used this to install pulls on every drawer and door in our kitchen cabinetry, as well as the cabinetry of three bathrooms. When I ordered this, I wrongly assumed that the drill bit would be something I would toss out immediately with the packaging. However it bit well into every cabinet and drilled true without fighting me! It's axis seems to be pretty dead on, so it doesn't wander and waver as many slightly bent cheap bits tend to do. If these are made very cheaply, I may have simply lucked out with a perfect bit from an imperfect manufacturing process. The templates are as close to square and regular as I can discern by comparing them to my other squares, rulers, and tape measures. At some point I gave up trying to find microscopic flaws in them. These are for installing pulls after all. Not particle accelerator magnets. With just a little time, and triple checking my measurements with the templates, my install looks professional, and for a fraction of the price my cabinet maker wanted just to add pulls to the total job.If you have a DIY job, and aren't intending to install hundreds of cabinets and drill hundreds of holes, I can't see how you would go wrong with this cheap set. I do recommend that you verify the quality of the bit, and double check the measurements on the templates before you actually use them. If either is off, send it back to Amazon. It simply makes sense to verify a tool, especially a cheap one, BEFORE USE.Nothing is perfect. I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. Some simple instructions and diagrams would be nice for those who don't know how to use these. Minus a half star for that omission. Otherwise this purchase was far better than expected.

Time saver
There are any number of ways a person could go about marking cabinets for new knobs or pulls. I've seen many sources that show how to make your own template for next to nothing. I personally considered that option. For me it ultimately came down to time versus money. I purchased the Amerock guides after looking at similar items in store and watching some videos online.Once I received the templates and measured my drawers and doors, I found for proper placement I actually needed to modify the template by drilling a new hole in both. So be aware that could be the case for you as well. But after the first door, the other doors were marked in just a few short minutes. The drawers took a little longer because you need to measure for the center-line. But marking the hole on the drawers was definitely faster with a template once the center-line was marked. With one person marking and one person drilling, the task of marking some 40 doors and drawers took about an hour, including the time to determine the holes and make the modification to the template. This kit includes a drill bit designed to specifically for the task of drilling cabinet holes. It might not be the most expensive bit. But it served it purpose on my project and took some of the guess work out of drilling. I mean I did not have to determine the right size or run to the store to look at bits. All and all, I was very pleased. If you are looking to install knobs or pulls, I think this has the potential to be a time saver for you with the caveat that you might need to modify it to get the right fit..

Cabinet knob, Pull template
Cheap, simple, and usable. It doesn't center on drawers (left to right, or top to bottom), which is a limitation. On left to right, you have to mark the centerline. That works. On top to bottom, the best you get is so choose one of the existing positions, and then stay consistent on the drawers. It's not as bad as it sounds. You end up with consistent height pulls, even if you have different drawer depths. For doors, it's perfect, and perfectly easy.I got this because it had both 3" and 5" spacing for handles. And I had both 3" and 5" handles.I put on about 40 handles in an afternoon, with no issues. It's fine for a one time, or very occasional use, and you can't beat the price, even by making your own jig.

Easy and time efficient
What a great buy! We constructed a built in cabinet for our family room and needed to add some modern handles to the new drawers and cabinets. This was soooooo easy to use and useful. The instructions were clear and as long as you are using standard handle sizes, it's a cinch that includes both short and long nails per handle with separate templates for measuring drawer and cabinets. I can concur with some of the reviews that the cabinet template seems too close to the door corner, but don't fret because you can just use the drawer template to gauge a new distance that fits your taste.

Great template to use
This set was a life-saver for me. I had door pulls that had 5' centers and some that were a 6.25 center. I used a permanent marker to mark my drill holes on the plastic template and just went down the line with the install after measuring and marking my center with a marking pencil I found in the fabric store. I had ordered another template by another seller and that one was a disappointment. The Amerock template was wonderful! For the l door pull centers I took movers tape and attached one template to the other after lining up my drill holes. I did this on newly installed kitchen and bathroom cabinets, probably over 30 in all and it made the job pretty easy. I might mention I am a female who did all this on brand new cabinets without any problem using the template.
