does it have a sweat band?

The inside band is lined in a velour type of fabric so it does act like a sweat band. Not as absorbent as other materials, but satisfactory for me.

Is it possible to purchase another curly string. It has worn out and the hat is still in very good condition?

When my visor string wore out I purchased the curly show laces. They made an acceptable substitute.

Is visor made in the USA?

No it's made in China still the best visors made

Can these visors be put in the washing machine / dryer? Or how do you suggest cleaning them?

I have put mine in the dishwasher and they turn out great!!! (as long as you remove them right away to dry.....one time I left my white one in for a day or 2 and it RUSTED!!!!). I love these visors!
