Is it waterproof? How do you clean it?

It made from rubber like a foam, so you have to clean it under the running water with a soap. And the next thing what hapend to me,it scratched very easily...

When folded does the bottom 'dirty' side touch the top 'clean' side where the baby lays?

No. You would have to fold it in the longest side first to cover all the “dirty side” then fold the thirds into each other.

Can I just purchase the carrying bag?

No, the mat comes with the bag. But you can take the mat out and have a "home mat" and put your other mat in the carrying case, if need be. I use mine for home use but I still have the bag in case I need to take it on vacation or something. Hope this helps!

What’s the best way to clean the mat? It seems to hold the odors even after wiping down with disinfectant wipe

I use a disinfectant spray mixed with fabric softener and water in a spray bottle--works really well and smells really good too

Good for travel and easy to clean!

I love this changing mat for convenient for travelling. Light weight not bulky and comes with a travelling bag so it keeps your diaper bag clean. Planning to purchase a second one. I have the thicker changing mat and they are also good but I find it takes over too much space in my diaper bag but this one is small and easy to carry around.

Perfect travel changing mat. It’s so lightweight, durable and easy to clean and fold. Not bulky at ALL. You can even fit 1-2 diapers and a small pack of wipes inside its little bag so if you’re going somewhere really quick you’re covered. The best part is that they’re so cheap I have several, some in the cars, diaper bags and families house too.And almost forgot, it’s not absorbent at all so the messes clean right off with just a wipe.
