NOTE: TO OPEN THE FIXTURE, GENTLY PULL OFF THE METAL (PRESSURE FIT) CAPS AROUND ALL OF THE LIGHT SOCKETS. The maker placed the instructions, mounting hardware, etc. INSIDE the fixture, but should have provided a label on the face of the fixture with the above info.The first light fixture we received was obviously returned (because the buyer tried prying the cover off with a screwdriver in an attempt to open it) being passed off as new. This provided us the opportunity to see how to PROPERLY open the fixture.The replacement light fixture we got had no damage, was easy to install and looks very nice.

Hidy Amazon Gang!!!!Im kinda a DIY'er and wife was wanting a Hollywood Vanity Makeup Mirror and for the prices these things cost I figured I would save some money and make one for her. Now the product that I purchased here was the 6 light vanity, and I used it for the top of her Makeup Mirror. I did purchase 2x 4 light vanity light bars for the sides else where because they were cheaper. The end result came out great and she absolutely loves it! There are a few mixed reviews on these light bars and Im not really sure why. They are what they are, and they are ALL about the same in quality. This 6 bar vanity light has 4 leads coming of it. This means the 3 right sockets have a set of leads that drop for you to wire in (black and white) the left 3 lights have a set of leads that drop for you to wire in as well (black and white). So essentially on this one light bar you have 2x black wires and 2x white wires. The 4 bar vanity I bought else where has just one set of wires coming off all four (black and white). Just thought I would share this information with yall. Now you can put regular bulbs in these but for the Makeup Mirror I made here I stuck in the Globe Bulbs (bigger round bulbs) and I DID NOT go with regular bulbs.....I spent the EXTRA money and went with the LED Globe Bulbs (Daylight) for her. Yes they are MORE EXPENSIVE but you are looking at a bulbs that will last up to 22 years (warrantied) and at 60 watts output on LED type bulbs it only uses about 7 watts of power each. That is a plus all the way around....longer life.....less power.....and most of all LESS HEAT radiating off the set up! I also did put in a dimmer for her (on left side) and a power socket (on the right) for her hair dryer & hot iron (or what ever else she uses). Make the wife happy...and make her one of these...I know mine is like a little kid in a candy store right now LOL. I made this unit at a great price.....and the units she was looking at..the WHOLE unit was the same size as just the MIRROR on the one I made her! The mirror alone in this one is a 24 x 30!! The WHOLE unit I made is 38" X 38 1/2" :-) So as far as the 6 light vanity bar...its a good item, and YES it will take LED bulbs if you decide to go that way, I dont know why people say it will only take incandescent bulbs......the socket purpose is to supply power to what you screw into it. The socket could care less if you put in a incandescent bulb or a led bulb...it will supply power to what you put in there!Well I hope my review helps yall out some........questions just visit our profile and there is a email me button there if you need more info on this 6 light vanity strip!*UPDATE April 5th 2017* Hey Guyz and Galz! I was THINKING about making another and build it with step by step notes & pics on HOW TO MAKE A LIGHTED HOLLYWOOD VANITY MIRROR! My question is would yall be willing to pay $25-$30 for a PDF on how to build this from start to finish? Yes it would include a LIST of everything you need (tools, parts, wood, wire & so on). I was thinking $25-$30 sounds decent for a DIY Project as it would take some time and effort to create this in a PDF format for easy download. Would recommend. Sturdy, not cheap, makes bathroom look upgraded.

Bought this to replace an old, outdated fixture. It was missing a part that would have held wires together better but managed the install anyway. A bit smaller than expected but probably measures 36" as advertised. Looks fine for the price.

Replaced a small light fixture with this one. Amazing difference. Bright,great upgrade.

Came in double packaging no damage at all. Was needing to replace the previous fixture that came with the house that we have lived in for 10 years. That had become rusted in the bathroom. Also have another bathroom with the same fixture. So it had to match the other one and it does. My husband put up did not take him long. Looks great and it fit perfectly in the same spot. We use the same bulbs from the old one, just cleaned them up.

First one arrived badly damaged. Replacement was a little damaged and might have been usable, but the wiring was a mess. The four sockets on one side were wired to connect at the center (correct) and the 4 sockets on the other side were wired to come out the end (wrong). How do they expect you to attach it wired like this? Bought a less expensive fixture from another vendor which worked fine.

Over all a nice fixture but the instructions included weren’t very clear. Took some brainstorming to figure out how to get it apart before hanging it.
