OK so I bought this for an unusual purpose - my wife struggles to see her embroidery in the evening as we have rather dim wall lighting in our lounge.Intended as a bit of a joke, this head torch actually suits the task really well as you can dim down the light level so it isn't reflected right back into your eyes and it also has a 'warm' light setting which she finds useful for colour matching the threads.It came with replaceable 18650 lithium batteries which actually seem to hold a decent charge though it is nice to know I can replace or upgrade them in future if I want.The built in charging circuit runs off any micro USB power source so you could charge it in the car or from a power bank if you wanted to. The torch dims a little just before the battery protection cut-off kicks in which is a good feature so you aren't left in the dark without warning.The head strap assembly is very strong and fully adjustable - took a little fiddling to get it comfortable but once 'set' you can just pop the torch on and off with ease and it stays adjusted - (until I borrow it to work on the car of course!)

Arrived on time. This will blind a bat at a hundred paces. Got it for fishing and it does the job a treat. plenty of life for at least four hours if you use it on and off and not on permanently. Ive not left it on constant yet to see how much it will drain the battery. I will update if I do.

Great torch but they don't make it clear it needs button top 18650 batteries which are difficult to get, although they are supplied. I don't trust lithium iron batteries from un-know brands. Basically they are very dangerous by virtue of what they are. I am not suggesting the batteries supplied are dangerous but I will not take the chance of finding out the hard way and will use the flat top batteries I use for my vape from Samsung or Sony as opposed to the un-known ones supplied. A dob of solder on the contacts has resolved the issue. As I said, great head torch and they are all the same, in terms of head torch design that is / required battery design need , so just make an informed choice when purchasing and be prepared to solder! I also appreciate this will stop the intentional design feature that stops the button top jumping out from the contacts, which is why they specified / used them however the risk is minimal unless you are undertaking extreme head banging!

It's actually a very good headtorch, however after a few months of use it stopped working. I contacted the seller but they didn't respond. I decided to have a go at repairing the torch, which I did. One of the wires had come loose in the battery area. I soldered it back onto the board and all is well. What i am concerned about though is the seller didn't respond to my message and what's also odd is when I look in my Amazon sent message folder it says there's nothing. I can't find any way to find the original sent message. My only complaint now is why didn't they respond and where is the sent message?

Just as described. Used for working on site by myself in dark places or in loft spaces etc. Holds up in the rain, and has a zoom function for the main led lamp which is very useful.Not the lightest piece of kit but its weight is to be expected considering the size of the unit.All in all a very good purchase and at an incredibly reasonable price. Another head lamp of the same quality from a highstreet store will easily cost upwards of £40.Very happy. Would recommend.I have not recieved this item for free or at a discounted rate in return for a review. All opinions shared are my own.

Just taken delivery of this and tried it on , brilliant piece of kit , not too heavy but you know its there , love the brightness it give off. I have dry Drusian's in my right eye so is a massive help to illuminate what I am working on in the workshop. Have ordered two more. Don't know about battery life etc but will update that later.

I wanted something to help prevent shadows whilst painting outside at night in floodlights and this worked a treat. pleasantly surprised how strong it is, vary rarely feel the need to use all the lights at once. It is easy to fit and felt secure, however i did notice after a prolonged period of use it would cause irritation on the back of the head from where the battery is mounted.
