Bought this as a lightening deal and figured even if we used it a couple of times we would have our moneys worth. We LOVE this! have used it several times and it is great! We make it, then throw it back in the freezer in the bowl for a little while and it hardens up and we scoop it with an ice cream scoop. Our favorite new kitchen gadget!

This is the second time using the ice cream maker. The first time the inner bowl did not freeze long enough and so I had runny ice cream. The second time I ran it for the whole 40 mins and I got more of the soft serve consistency. Even at this point the inner bowl was still frozen. I prolly could have allowed it to churn longer and get a thicker consistency. I liked that it has an opening at the top to add to the ice cream while it churn. I wish I could make more than 2 pints at a time. Also, if you are transferring to a mason jar or small mouth container, be prepared for a mess. If you have s bigger container, it's easy to transfer from the bowl.

Love it. I've owned three ice cream makers and this one so far is my favorite.
