The clay must be fired in order for it to be waterproof. Adding more water will just make the clay softer.

So my kilm finnaly broke down. Is it possible to bake this? How fragle will it be if its just air dryed?

If your kiln broke you have nothing to loose by baking it. I'm not sure how long to bake it or how high. I would Google search it. It dries very hard in the kiln.

Can I fire this to 1400F?

You need to fire to Cone 5 (2118 Degrees F)

Can this be used to make an ashtray?

It can be used to handbuild or on a pottery wheel bu for this clay to harden it has to be fired to around 2185°F and this requires the use of a kiln. I would think you would be better off using an air dry clay and then painting the piece with acrylic paint.
