Cat Bookshelf Jigsaw Puzzle 1000 Piece by Vermont Christmas Company

I don't usually write product reviews, but I wanted to add my two cents about this puzzle. I can understand the perspective of the reviewers who gave it one or two stars because of certain negatives - mainly puzzle quality and in some cases a missing piece (mine had no missing pieces, so that wasn't an issue). But I have to say, after having just finished this puzzle yesterday, that the positives FAR outweigh any negatives, at least in my opinion. In fact, I'd have to say that this was probably the most fun I've ever had in doing a puzzle: the vibrant colors, the adorable design (especially for cat lovers), and the clever book titles were just a HOOT! I almost didn't buy it after reading the one-star reviews talking about poor puzzle quality; and I have to admit, when i was assembling the border it did seem like there was a difference in quality between this one and the puzzle I'd done immediately before this one, called The World of Cats. But I'm so glad i didn't let a couple of slightly ill-fitting border pieces deter me. Once I got into the puzzle itself - doing the books first and saving the cats for last - I found the overall puzzle quality to be fine, and i had so much fun that I was wishing it were twice as big! If anything, it's easier than most 1000-piece puzzles (especially compared to The World of Cats, which had a more challenging, intricate design). So decide for yourself based on all of the reviews . . . but for me, this puzzle was fantastic and will definitely be done again and again in the coming years.

This is a really fun puzzle with unique pieces. The colors are vibrant, and it is well made. Note that the pieces are extremely large for a1000 piece puzzle and therefore the puzzle itself is oversized.

I bought this puzzle for my insane cat-loving sister-in-law. She wanted this puzzle and I was happy to add it to my cart. Our family is nuts about cats and we all own them. We even send cards from the cats for events such as birthdays, holidays, etc. This is a great puzzle that will be a challenge to put together.

This is so cute - I'm still putting this one together.Adding to this review - I was almost finished and I noticed two pieces were missing! I was so frustrated I took it apart right away. I bought a new one and am putting it together now.I still like the puzzles - it's just so frustrating to be almost done and be missing two pieces.I bought this puzzle again and when I was almost finished I spilled my drink all over it and ruined it. I was so disappointed in myself.I finally bought it again and redid the whole thing and it looks so pretty. I too love the colors and the cute book titles and the kitties themselves. I especially liked the little jewels on the bindings of the books. This newest copy of the puzzle I bought also seemed to be much more vibrant and colorful and better made than the last version. Really happy with this last version and finally putting it together with no missing pieces or spilling my drink all over it!

and I enjoyed it. My only complaint is it didn't include a picture of the puzzle in the box. The picture on the box was adequate but on the small side. Overall, I enjoyed the puzzle. The puzzle was on good quality paper and the pieces fit together nicely. Usually I take a puzzle apart as soon as I am done but this one I kept and my wife is planning on framing. Recommend buying to anyone looking for a unique puzzle.

This is the perfect puzzle for anyone who is a lover of cats, books, and a play on words. When I first saw this puzzle, I knew immediately I needed it. It was around $20, which is more than I typically pay for puzzles, but it encompassed so many things I enjoy that I didn't mind. The puzzle itself is well-made and sturdy. The pieces fit together the way they should--not too loose but also not too difficult to snap into place. The picture itself is beautiful once completed. If you're still unsure of whether or my to pay the price, the puzzle is fairly large. It tells the dimensions, but those don't mean much until you see it in person.

I love the clearness and the lack of glare and it's the whole picture was just awesome I loved it of course you put a cat in pretty much when books in any puzzle and I'm going to like it. But this one's really really good and not so easy that you feel like a kindergartener. As with all puzzle brands which I stick to a few the quality isvery good.

Adorable puzzle! The attention to detail was spectacular for each of the books in the puzzle and it was so much fun to put together. The variety in the pictures on the puzzle kept it from being boring, no huge sky or something like that. The only small drawback was that a few of the pieces look like they fit somewhere and they didn’t. However it was only a really small few.

I often puzzle up to 640 pieces on my tablet, but for Xmas I bought 3 puzzles to encourage more interactive family time around the table. This beautifully designed graphic of lounging cats, punny book titles/author names, the elegant colourful book spines all bedazzled with gems, appealed to the humour, enjoyment and 'seeking' fun of all that assisted in the build. I loved that the construction time for this 1000 piece puzzle moved nicely along (ie, not the painfully slow black horse in dark forest type). Many of the pieces were sorted without too much difficulty, so the younger family members could work on a purple book or orange cat without being frustrated. Since the youngest was only 5, having good solid sturdy puzzle pieces was great (I hate sloppy fitting thin bendable tiles), so I will purchase more from the Vermont Christmas Co. Finally, the random shapes were truly varied, sometimes challenging with deceptive flat edges, but fun to figure out, plus they interlocked snuggly, so the fit was easy to confirm. In the near future, I hope to find the similar dog version by Randal Spangler, his artistic style makes for great puzzles for any Dissectologist.

L'immagine è davvero molto bella e i colori vivaci e luminosi. Il puzzle si compone bene, e i pezzi non si rovinano anche quando provi più incastri. Decisamente un must per gli amanti dei gatti e dei puzzle.

Beautiful puzzle - colours are rich and deep and there is a lot to discover as you put it together that you don't notice in the cover picture. Good pieces although the boxes need their corners strengthened. Big fan of the Vermont Christmas Company.

Love the look of this jigsaw puzzle with its interesting book titles. Haven't opened it yet as it is a gift, but it looks like a quality product from the outside.
