Impressed for the price.
I'm the first to admit this Lakonia Sword isn't perfect, but for the price, I have to give it 5 stars. It comes "factory sharp", which means it's sharp, but not razor sharp. The tip or point however is very pointy & sharp. The sword seems sturdy with no wobble. The finish is somewhere in between a satin & mirror finish, a lite polish will bring out a better shine. In hand it’s feels beautifully balanced. The sheath is basic. The sword slides in easily but is nice and snug, the retention is really good, if you hold it upside down, the sword won't come out. Again, it's not perfect, there are some imperfections. Of course the more you scrutinize, the more imperfections you'll find. The bottom line is: I feel the good out weighs the bad, and for the price, I would definitely buy again.

Awesome, sharp, and badass.
If you’re looking for a sword to carry around just in case you encounter hogs, panthers, or nosey neighbors, this is it.Very sharp.I nearly cut my finger off helping a snake get out of a jam, so watch out for that.Highly recommend.

Great design, poor craftsmanship
This is an awesome design for a blade but I bought it hesitantly due to the type of steel. The fact that Windlass went from 1095 to stainless is disappointing... I received it and right away the quality was disappointing. The handle was not symmetrical and the rubber used had a terrible smell. The pins holding it on seem to be plastic. The leaf shape blade was not symmetrical and was bent slightly while looking at it edgewise. Very disappointing and I promptly returned.

Great Greek style short sword.
I love this sword. Its not really a knife. The balance is superb and it handles better than a Roman style short sword. The only shortcoming is that it has rust pitting near the handle. The finish is pretty good, but mine had a small blemish on the blade. The sheath is first class but needs a bit of bees wax when you are breaking it in.

Simple and functional!
So I sorta impulse bought this for $60 and honestly, I'm glad I did. This blade is impressively shaped and sharpened. Despite the rubber handle feeling a little chunky, it handles very well with a good balance. The rubber handle scales are pinned in and they feel secure and slip free. The sheath is definitely not the best, but it's made of thick leather and doesn't slip off the sword. The only thing to use to attach it to yourself is a loop, so I would recommend a sword frog or a belt clip.

awesome buy
An absolute must have beautiful piece. Very good steal, feels good in the hand. I can see where there can be problems with the rubber handle with use. Another gentleman in the reviews talks about his problems with use ( I do believe it is on amazon , I read so much?). He says to use a better apoxy and brass pins, instead of the factory plastic ones. As an ex apprentice machinist, it sounds perfect. Regardless its totally worth the price, if you want to wine pay 300$ and get something else to gripe about. Check it out , poor boys I think you'll like it

Not the same quality I knew
The design is great but craftsmanship is below average. I know it's cheap but my friend also has the same exact windlass lakonia knife he bought back in 2012 and it is definitely built better. Maybe they changed the manufacturer which is too bad.

Great authentic sword. Loved it.
This sword is exactly what I wanted. It's very sharp and durable. I went outside and messed around a bit and when I came inside, the blade wasn't even scratched. Also the blade is pretty thick so it won't be breaking any time soon. This blade is a good steal. The sheath is very nice too. The only problem is that the handle material rubs off on your hands and can stick to the blade. It's not that bad, and is easy to clean.
