Consistent compression
(Review by Thomas's wife)These are great! Just the right amount of consistent compression. It does not rub on my incision sites but does compress them. Tried another cheaper post-surgical bra (Renova) that had way too much stretch in the material. It will probably be good to wear down the road when I don't need as much compression.I like that they have a good amount of cotton in them. The hook and eye closure of this bra is a must for me. I had a zip-up bra that kept breaking.I have wide-spaced breasts, and this bra holds them in place closer together to encourage better positioning. Some say this bra runs a bit small, but I found it was perfect for my goals; however, I can imagine those who want less firm compression might be happier with a larger size.

Finally found a good one
I have struggled to find a post op bra for my breast augmentation that fit (I have a 28" under bust). I'm 3 wks post op and can hardly breathe in some of the post op bras, and others don't offer enough support for my implants to settle properly. This bra gives just the right support. The XS fits my small band size, while also fitting my 400cc implants. What really sold me was the straps. The bras that cross in the back hurt my traps / upper back, and look terrible under clothes. This bra doesn't look bulky under clothes, the adjustable straps can be concealed under a tank top, and the clasps in the front are not irritating or difficult to use. I also live in the south and it's hot. This is way more comfortable to wear in the heat and feels more sanitary bc it's quick to dry.My only concern is washing/drying it bc it is cotton and will probably shrink. It fits great now, but will probably be smaller after a dry.

Too small
I followed the size chart and purchased a medium but it is too small. It is nicely made and looks like it would be comfortable if it fit better.

size up!
I'm 5 weeks post double mastectomy and got the green light a few days ago to switch to mastectomy bras from the surgery bra that has been on me 24/7. Tried different brands and one of them was this one, which I do overall like but I will probably have to wait another week or so before I can tolerate it on me for longer periods of time.I do like the style very much. Yes, it does have the hooks in the front but since they are white like the bra color, it is not that obvious that it is a mastectomy bra and feels a little bit sexy at least :) . The shoulder straps are adjustable like those on regular bras and it is cut lower in the front, more like a regular bra. What "bothers" my body right now however is that the incisions- especially the ones under the armpits where lymph nodes were removed- are still sore and a bit painful. The lower cut makes the fabric sit right on top of the implant skin in the front which is presently still ultra sensitive (at least in my case) and the sides make the bra sit right below (does not cover) the armpit scars. Oh yes, and I had to go WAY up - usually 38B, 150lbs where L is sufficient and tried XL based on their table which was too tight and XXL now is okay using the loosest eyelet setting. So good bra overall, material is really nice and soft but have to wait a bit longer before I can tolerate it for several hours. Other than that can recommend!

Too close to the armpit.
It fit well except that it was too close to the armpit, unlike what is shown in the photo.

Not Recommended for Tall and/or Plus Size Women
This is a one-size fits all design and the truth is that every woman is different. I did like that it had the compression to make me feel secure for healing, and it did close in the front --- I was 80 and had a double mastectomy --- but I didn't like the way it fit under my arms. It was too tight. Yes, there are adjustments for the straps, but no amount of adjusting would loosen the tightness at the front of the arm where the strap is located at the armpit. It hurt. Period. I needed the opening to be wider. I finally resorted to getting scissors and cutting it to open to relieve the pressure before giving up and tossing it. I don't recommend this bra, but I don't know what else would work, either. I went to other sites specifically for double mastectomy patients and all of them were for average-size women. Tall and/or plus size women are not addressed by anyone. I am both with my height of 5 feet 10 inches and my 44 chest, which is a 2xl. I finally ended up not using anything, and I'm still in recovery, so choices will have to be made by the woman. I hope this inspires someone in the industry to address tall and plus-size women undergoing double mastectomies. It's very hard trying to recover from this kind of surgery, and we could use a little help with comfortable compression bras that fit.

Sturdy support but soft and comfy inside.
Extremely supportive. You’ll need this bra if you have a breast surgery. I had to do a lot of research to find these. But it was worth it because the bras they provided post surgery for me were so stiff, scratchy and pokey! Your scars and all the skin on the breast will be so sensitive afterward, that the polyester ones will be torture! Get one or two of these. You will never regret it. I PROMISE!

Supportive, comfortable with adjustable straps. Measure for your size. Recommend sizing up.
I purchased two of these bras to aid my recovery from breast surgery . I'm nearly two weeks into a six week recovery and have found them to be excellent. Very well made. I am normally a 38C bra and purchased Size XXL. The measurements on-line comparing to usual bra measurement recommended going up a size and I am glad I did. Extremely supportive and comfortable to wear, particularly as I was found to be allergic to the medical dressings and had no coverings over my wounds to both breasts. The post-operative bra has been comforting and is aiding my recovery. Wash well. Breathable material, elastic supportive under band and adjustable straps. Would recommend. I am tempted to keep these front fastening bras for future wearing should I make a complete recovery and do not require further surgery. Incidentally previous reviews have complained about the label on the back being the wrong side. On the contrary, labels in garments are notorious for irritating, and I suspect the designers of this post-operative bra thought it sensible to attach the label on the outside of the garment to prevent discomfort. It can easily be cut off too without damaging the bra.
