These are rocks you put in glass cups: Don't expect them to perform unrealistically!
There are many reviews giving these Whiskey Stones low rating because they were expecting them to perform like real ice. These are not meant to perform like real ice! These are whisky stones- they keep your whisky below room temperature for an extended period of time without watering down your drink. With realistic expectations, here are the Pros and Cons in my opinion:PROS:-High quality stone cut in to perfect cubes; they look very nice.-These come with a nice drawstring bag which is great for storing them in the freezer.-They do not change the taste of the whiskey and they do not water it down! (obviously)-They keep the whisky at a nice COOL temperature without being too cold. If whisky is too cold, many of the aromas and flavors are lost. Whisky, when enjoyed for taste, is not meant to be ice cold.-They look really cool!CONS:-They were slightly smaller than I expected. I know that the dimensions are listed in the description, but they still appeared smaller in person than I imagined.-The flat surfaces are very smooth, but the corners not so much. I use these in my cheaper glasses, but I am afraid to use these in my delicate Glencairn glass. I would have given these a five star rating if they were were smooth enough that I didn't have to worry about them scratching my glass.-You know how when your ice is stuck to the bottom of your cup, and then when you take a drink the ice attacks your face? That will happen with these. These stones sink, so they will stay on the bottom of the glass when the glass is full, but when you tilt the glass up to finish off your drink they will attack your face. This is another reason I don't use these with my delicate Glencairn glass; I am worried about them clanking around and chipping the glass.Overall, these perform well if you are not expecting them to perform unrealistically. After all, they are rocks that you put in glass cups. I attached a few photos to show how they look in a glass and how big they are. One picture is next to a standard size credit card, and the other is next to a standard bottle cap.

Doesn't last as long as expected
I bought these whiskey stones for my boyfriend because he is an avid scotch/ bourbon drinker and always complained about having to water down his drink using ice. So I thought these stones would be a good solution. On first using the stones, we weren't aware they needed 5 hours to get cold so that was kind of a drawback. But luckily you get a handful so you can always keep the rest frozen on deck. So then he used the reccomended 3 stones in his drink and it still wasn't as cold as we expected nor does it stay as cold for as long as you have to keep them frozen. They are still a great product but just not entirely what we hoped for. Also I'm not really sure how to clean them best and if it's sanitary cuz all we've done is run them through hot water

Great product and they work as advertised. One FYI/tip included in review.
Great product and they work as advertised. One fyi if you are buying this item as a gift, my product was not sealed (factory sealed or shrink wrapped) it was just an closed box with open lid so if you are weirded out by that you might consider another product. I gave this item as a gift and the person didn't care that it wasn't 'sealed' (thankfully, I didn't want to be embarrassed with an open item). Technically they are going into whiskey and you wash them first anyway. But I thought it might be helpful to know as a head's up that these aren't sealed.

Great for a couple of months.
I bought these as a Christmas present for my boyfriend, who loves a chilled whiskey on the rocks. He loved them! They were a great purchase until recently. He started seeing black "floaties" in his drink, which we just assumed he grabbed a dirty glass or a bug flew into it. After a couple of these occurrences, we noticed that it was actually the outer coating of the rocks chipping off and floating around in his drink!. We ended up throwing the rocks away, as you can understand no one wants little bits of stuff floating in their drink. They lasted a good seven months before this started happening though (only drinking 1 or 2 drinks with these a week). Will be keeping my eye out for a good quality stainless steel set to buy for next time.

I am very pleased with these whiskey stones
I am very pleased with these whiskey stones. 3 stones in your 2 finger glass of whiskey cools the drink just enough to bring out the flavor and it stays cool to the finish. Stones come with a nice velvet bag for storage also. They take awhile to cool down again so if you are planning a tasting party, you will need more stones. They work for one drink a night unless you have a 4 hour window to cool again. Keep in mind that the drink will not ever be as cold as when using ice. This is the brand I will purchase again if more are needed.

Quality product, annoying company
I would actually give the product itself 4 or 5 stars, especially in light of the price reduction, but had to knock them down to 3 for excessive emailing. I was under the impression that the convention (if not the Amazon rule) was to only receive a single email soliciting a review from some of these companies, but found myself receiving 3 emails over 3 days from Bellavanti. That may not be a big deal to you, but it is a pet peeve of mine.

Perfect Gift!
The Whiskey Stones are perfect and exactly what I had hoped for! They will be the perfect gift for my husband who is a scotch drinker! The stones arrived in a timely manor and are beautiful. I love that they come with their own velvet bag which makes them easy for storage in the freezer. I would definitely buy from Bellavanti again in the future!

but I really like them a lot anyway
These were much smaller than I had anticipated, but I really like them a lot anyway. They do their job well and are as described. I purchased them as a gift for my boyfriend and he loves them.
