Instant hot water
My particular purchase is exquisite! Exactly as advertised. Nothing leaks anywhere! Very, very, worth it.(I had been gifted a used Coleman HWOD and when it stayed ignited and the pump worked I was head over heels. Water pouring out of the unit... which I assumed was the norm. Isn't! If you buy one and it does that stuff it is either your assembling it wrong or a malfunction.)Easy to use. Just push two buttons. One for heat. The other to start. No awkward holding down a button waiting for the propane to light as with the Coleman. The highest setting is scalding in 10 seconds and great for dishes or cleaning the porta potty. The lowest setting is perfect for showering. 5 gallons of water is more than enough. The button on the showerhead really really nice. I can turn it off while lathering my hair and click it back on. The heat auto ignites! No need to carry the entire unit into the shower stall. You need a power source though. It doesn't have a battery which adds $100+ to the price... but as I use an EcoFlow for lights, phone, etc. it's no big deal to use an extension cord to plug in.

Great after changing the showerhead
The media could not be loaded. It's been 2 months to the day and it's working just fine. My wife and I bought property and have been living in our RV but the shower is quite small so we built an outdoor shower and have used this every day. Well, I'll be honest, on the days that I do nothing, few and far between...I skip the shower. So ALMOST every day.I've read numerous 1 star reviews and it seems that if you make it past a week, you're probably in good standing. Let's face it, whatever is made by a manufacturer is going to produce it's fair share of lemons. As for me, I'll count myself lucky purely on the fact that I didn't even open the box until several months afterwards. Yeah, our move got complicated and then the dead of winter forced us to get the RV rather than showering outside. But I digress, it would probably be a good ideal to give it a few test drives and let it run for numerous minutes when you get it so that you can not be an unfortunate lemon outside the return policy period. The pressure is fair. Don't expect the pressure to be that of a standard house shower because it's not. It's probably half that, maybe a little more. I think the main thing is that there's a lot fewer holes with which the water comes out so you are not getting as much water coverage on your body, but again, it's adequate to get the job done. I'm actually going to order a different shower head to see if that makes any difference. I do think that the shower head may be a little defective in that not all holes have water coming out. I don't know if this is making that much of a difference, and I don't think it is. The cord is about 7-8 feetThe water definitely gets hot enough for whatever your liking is, because I do like to turn up the temperature and I definitely can't max it out, not even close. I'm about 20 degrees short of that. The propane usage is minimal. We have had a small 15 gallon bbq grill size propane drum and have been using it now for the last 2 months. My wife said she can smell propane a little bit which is a sign that it's getting low, so...you can expect 2 months out of propane drum for a party of 2.If you are off grid, you can build a portable charging station for cheap and run it off a car battery. You can youtube, "Build a portable power pack for $25" and learn how. I followed this guys tutorial and it was super easy. We picked up a 100W solar panel (4 pcs) at harbor freight and it charges it daily on it's own with a built in "overcharge protector" so you don't have to worry about anything like that.I attached a video showing our set up with battery station, water heating machine, propane tank and a reservoir for the water that the suction bulb goes in (which we cut out a hole in the top so that it can just drop down into it keeping the lid closed. Last is the solar panels that feed the batter pack. We are going to cut a few inches off 4X4s on the back side of the shower so we can then have an angle to divert the rain water into a gutter and then funnel that into a holding tank which we can then just turn a knob and easily fill the reservoir. The "issue" with the reservoir is that the cord to suction apparatus is only so long, so you are limited to the size of the water tank. We currently just get the water from our creek with the sump pump. Not a big deal, but the less work is always better. Gotta love using what nature gave you.Edit: We changed the showerhead and it was game changer!Edit#2: 5 months now, no issues.

Wondering why it's less expensive than others? Updated Review-Cheaply Made, Poor Quality
You can't use this without having power nearby. All the others that you see have a battery. Not this one. And, it's not returnable. I'm Pi**ed beyond belief.Update: So once I got over my initial anger of this thing not having battery power, I decided I'll use it as a dog wash station outside.1. This thing is not a solid piece of equipment. It is poorly made with cheap materials. Not worth the sale price I paid for it.2. The quick connects for water in and water out are a joke. They don't properly snap in place. The water out to the shower head is the worst. I finally walked away for a bit before I was tempted to throw it in the trash. Came back to video the leaking. Ran it for a while and the connector got hot and the unit threw an E6 error. Turned off the heater and on again and on a whim tried the connector to the faucet again. It snapped in place, finally. Guess the heat of the water loosened something up. But I don't expect this thing to last, I expect the mechanical pieces like these quick connects to break. You can really feel the cheap quality of materials and design.3. The water in my bucket started out at 45 degrees. When set in the low heat position it got to about 90 degrees. When set to the high position it topped at 136 degrees when it threw the E6 error. So, if you are taking a shower you'll need to play with that dial to get your perfect temperature.4. As others mentioned the shower head flow is extremely weak. I'll probably go through 3-5, 5 gallon buckets of water just to give one of my dogs a bath. Not particularly effective when you gotta rinse off the shampoo. My final thoughts to anyone considering this piece of JUNK - Don't Buy It ! It isn't worth the money. You're better off heating a pot of water and using one of those portable battery powered shower units that have one end drop in the water and the other end is the shower head to take a shower in the wild. It's cheaper, light weight, doesn't have all the extra nonsense that this Hike Crew has and you'll even have a better showering experience.

This no longer has self contained battery
Be careful! This is NOT the previous model thay came with a battery! You need constant power to this. I had a battery generator, and I also have 12VDC outlet wired in my back Jeep bed...But you cannot plug it in and charge it like the old style. Thats probably why my older one failed...it would start to light then nada and give me an error message. This even when plugged into 110v. The company kinda indicated that this was probably the issue...but they do not do repairs :(Now, this unit works great heating water. The rear spigot is really handy as well. But no battery is kinda a bummer.
