A multi purpose staple for any kitchen
Saffer here. There's nothing quite like maize meal/mielie pap, be it as a breakfast porridge, or as a savoury accompaniment with stews etc instead of rice or mash. Also an almost must-have at braais, with traditional tomato and onion "sous". Pay attention to cooking instructions. Google for variations.
