Make a nice clear color, does stain.
The directions call for 2-3 ounces of product for 3 gallons of water. I mixed the product at 2 ounces and it works great. My grass/weeds are pretty yellow as you can see in the picture, so it does stand out pretty good. If your grass is a lot greener you might have to go with a bit more in the water. I works great on the grass, but wear rubber gloves when mixing it unless you enjoy being mistaken for part Smurf. You can see my hand in the picture and that is after scrubbing with soap and water. It also will stain concrete. It will also stain dog feet! No, there was no chemical in the water when I did any of this, it was just the Blue Turf Mark. I just got the sprayer hooked up to my new lawn tractor and was experimenting with the color, flow rate, etc. I found that it also stains the bare feet of my 4 year old grandson! All in all I'm quite pleased with it. Now that I know how it sticks to non-grass surfaces, I'll be more careful in the future. I will definitely purchase more when I need it.

Good product!
Works great but next time I will add a little more to see where I've sprayed.

Easiest marker to use
Used this for a lawn spray indicator. First and foremost, having the ability to measure the product with the little squeeze chamber is critical for a dye like this, and if you look at other indicator products, the most common negative is from staining issues. With this product, I had no issues spilling it on myself, my clothes, or my driveway. Mixed well with a cocktail of ingredients, and provide a nice blue that was definitely easy to see on my mostly-dormant grass. It was almost nice, because the next day it had faded in a bit and combined with the lime green grass just waking up, it almost looked like an early summer green just coming out of winter. Anyway, it does the job you want it to. No, it won't make your lawn look like a smurf, but it's enough of an indicator to show where the spray is landing. Decent value for the amount of product, and definitely the easiest to use of everything available out there.

Good enough.
I used this for the first time today, spraying weeds in my outdoor riding arena and in the gravel driveway. I used about 10 cc in 3 gallons of spray, and the color showed up enough for me to tell where I'd sprayed. The directions say 6-10 ounces per 100 gallons, so I figured 1 oz/10 gals = 1/3 ounce for 3 gallons. At about 30 cc per ounce, that came to about 10 cc. I used an old syringe (farm stores have them) to measure. I think this product will be fine for doing the spot-spraying for weeds on gravel and sand, but I'm not sure how well the color would show up on a lawn. I also noticed that it did stain the concrete floor in my garage (I dripped a little...), but others have said it washes off driveways in a few days. I wouldn't spray on nice concrete without testing it first. I dribbled water on the spots and left it for a couple hours. The stain is more pale but still visible. (Oh well. That stain is nothing compared to the oil stains from the truck!) For my purposes, it will work fine. If I want a deeper color, I'll add more dye. I don't go through enough spray in a summer for volume to be a concern.

Tried it; Sold on it!
I thought this might be a 'luxury' I didn't need. I've been spraying for years without it. Well, for gross spraying - down the edges of the rural driveway and some general areas, I can still do without it. But when spraying "Cat's Claw" vine in the woods around my house; when trying to get rid of all the bermuda grass when preparing a new planting bed - or for anything else that requires some finesse and accuracy, this stuff REALLY helps. I find for most of my stuff I can use it about 1/2 strength (& sometimes 1/4) & save a few bucks. It shows easily on bare ground / dry & dead grass / driveway rocks / and concrete (edge). But it also easily washes off in a day or two of sun and/or rain. Sometimes within a few hours it's hard (at 1/2 strength) to tell where I've sprayed. If vegetation is lush and you're only wanting to spray part of it - use more. It's harder to see on just green vegetation than on surrounding ground, but even at 1/2 strength you can see if you look. I won't use it ALL the time, but I will have it available ALL the time for when it's most helpful.

Easy to Use and no stain!
Easy to use, easy to mix, easy to measure and does not cause permanent stain. Was off my bermuda grass within 24hrs. It comes with a label with all the directions and first aid information. Measurement is on ml or oz for a proper dosign regardless if you use metric (like me) or imperial. Recommended!

Best turf marking
I’ve tried others but none have worked as well as this one. No permanent staining of concrete or any other hard scape. I used it over a 5000 square foot area in one day and it was easy to tell where I had been even a couple days later. It was gone within a week. Like their slogan “We don’t make a lot of things you buy, we make a lot of the things you buy better” BASF is top of the line.
