Great quality, perfect for a small shop.
I am always pleasantly surprised at the quality of Wen tools for the price, and this sander is no exception. It arrives well packaged, and mostly fully assembled. It does everything I need to do in my single car garage small shop, and does it well. It has plenty of power, the belt tilts from zero to ninety degrees, and dust collection is adequate, This is my third Wen benchtop tool, and I couldn't be happier.

Amazing how good this thing works!
I wasn’t expecting much from a simple cleaning stick, but wow — this WEN sandpaper eraser is incredible. It brings sanding belts, discs, and drum sleeves back to life in seconds. You can literally watch the built-up resin and dust disappear as you run it across the surface. It’s saved me from tossing out sandpaper that I thought was completely done, and it easily pays for itself with how much longer my abrasives last now. The block is a good size, easy to grip, and works on every sander I’ve tried so far. Amazing how good this thing works — a must-have for anyone who sands regularly.

Good cheaper belt sander
I have two of these and they both work great. One gets frequent use, like 15 hours a week sometimes and it is still running strong. I only sand metal on these. Using this for metal has been working fine. It will bog down if you press too hard and/or have a long piece you're are trying to sand all at once. Most of my sanding is to remove band saw marks and clean up edges and it does those things well. I have mostly used the belt portion with maybe 10% of the total time on the disk portion. I have no complaints for either so far. The machine feels very stout. The base is heavy and helps keep it from sliding around. I don't feel like I need to bolt it down. I had a nice Jet sander just like this one before this and it would also bog down under similar loads. Patience and keeping your sanding belt in good condition are key. The one thing I like about this machine is how easy it is to change the belt. On the Jet I had to disassemble a bunch of pieces to get the belt off and it was a pain. The Wen sander just need an allen key and takes about 30 seconds. Overall it's been a good machine and has stood up well to abuse for the last couple months. EDIT: After using this quite a bit I have found that the upper pulley retaining bolt will sometimes come loose and back out (same issue on my old Jet). If you remove the side cover using a standard phillips the upper retaining bolt can be accessed. It is reverse threaded which is supposed to prevent it backing out but a little thread locker should do the trick.

Solid, functional and excellent value
This little sander is great. My shop is 12x16 feet so big tools are not an option. This fits well in one of my benches and has been quite helpful. I used to have to get a belt sander out, turn it upside down and mount it in a vice. Then I would engage in dangerous sanding of whatever I needed to shape. This eliminates that dangerous activity and even better, it’s always ready so I jus walk over , turn it on m, and shape the piece I am working on. Changing the belts looks as easy as any other belt sander but I have not done that yet. Not sure about the discs. As far as sturdiness, it’s a solid base. The joint between the base and belt sander seems to have some flex in it. Think there is some plastic there, so when moving it, grab it at the base and you won’t have a problem. Raising the belt sander to the vertical position requires the use of a tool. Allen wrench if I recall correctly, so it’s not something I do often. Would prefer if that were a lever or something that were quick and did. It require a tool. Overall, I am very happy and this cost less than the Ryobi and is almost identical but perhaps a bit sturdier.

Good Value for the price
The value for the purchase price seems more than fair. The machine build quality and performance is good. I ordered more belts and discs so it will get more use and I may give updates down the road. The one thing that is cheap is the mitre gauge. I do not see a use for it on this type of machine but in all fairness the ones supplied with ex table saw are in the same category. My use is as homeowner/general woodworking, not production shop or commercial use. So I am satisfied and would recommend. One more thing is you may want to order the rubber erasers that are available to keep your disc/belt clean.

Excellent unit with some modifications
This unit arrived quickly and undamaged. It runs smoothly with no weird noises. Fits perfectly with my metal working needs. This is a heavy machine with the cast iron base. I did not like the hex key or the orange screw knob for the disc table. So I ordered the uxcell M8x40mm Handle Adjustable Clamping Lever. Perfect for clamping the belt mechanism in any position from horizontal to vertical. The orange clamping bolt was only 6mm so I drilled and tapped the base to M8x1.25. Now I can clamp the table tight. I really like this machine!

Pretty sure I did not see 120 volt when buying. Returned straight away. Return no problems.

So, I'm happy, it does the job, seems solid. And even better, it does what I wanted it to do. The belt is easy to change, and moving the belt sander from horizontal to vertical is a breeze. If it lasts, it's all good. Now I'm going to nitpick: One, I got a used one that Amazon said was inspected. Nope. The disc head was loose requiring me to waste an unused sanding disc to tighten it. The screw holding it on was a few turns loose. This was obvious, so I really can't accept it was inspected. I wonder if that is why it was returned in the first place - the purchaser thought it was defective because the disc wobbled? So, my advice is to go over it with the included manual when you get it before you use it. The drive belt was completely loose too. Next, the unit seems to have an odd combination of super solid cast iron with steel pressed parts mixed with cheap plastic parts. Still, overall, I think it's a good solid unit, so don't let that turn you off, I think they had to save money somewhere, and that's where. The table for the disc sander can be hard to get square. When you hold a square up to it and start to tighten, it wants to move one way or the other. It can be done, but it does require patience. The mitre square that comes with it - like most table saws these days - is cheapo. It works, but for goodness sake make sure you carefully check it with a square - don't trust the degree settings until you confirm. BTW, this is the exact same unit sold at a famous Canadian retailer that has tires in their name, but theirs is painted blue and sells for waaay more, so this is a better deal for the same unit in a different colour.

The device works fine But the seller is very bad, as the device arrived missing a corner-setting piece, and the seller did not provide it.
