Great stuff!
I didn't think this would do much for my car, but I was wrong! It didn't fix the issue my trans was having, but it did improve it helping me narrow down the list of things that could have been wrong with my trans. My 98 civic was shifting hard from first to second and would shudder when cruising between 20 and 50mph. both problems diminished immediately after putting this in leading me to believe that when my car overheated recently (just before problems started), I likely burnt my trans fluid and coated the inside of my trans with varnish. Now I know how to fix my car and will use the rest of this bottle when I change my fluid. Would buy again! Edit 9-9-2015: The shudder came back after a few weeks. I bought the Platinum version at a brick and mortar along with the dr. tranny instant shudder fix. This also helped for a little while. I finally broke down and bought a gallon of atf to do the first fluid change and now the problem is gone. I attribute this to having this additive in there to help the new fluid work better. I still have the rest of this bottle and Intend to put it in with the next, and final fluid change to do my 98 civic the way it's supposed to be done according to Honda. The hard shift never came back, though. I believe this product (and the other two by the same company) is directly responsible for my trans not taking a dirt nap when I changed the fluid like the majority of high-mileage cars I've changed the trans fluid on. Wish it would have fixed the issue of my trans slamming into gear when I push the gas before I come to a complete stop, but that's probably a product of the 261,000+ miles it has driven and not something that a fluid additive will fix. That's another story. Bottom line: I would absolutely buy this again and may actually buy another bottle to put in just to be sure that my trans fluid is good. I added a star because this stuff does what it is supposed to!

Helps stop shudder after a fluid service
Lubegard pretty well known as the better of the tranny additives. I've seen my transmission shop use the red and black bottles for years. Did a full trans service on my 2005 4runner, dropped pan, flushed lines, used amsoil synthetic as a refill. Yota trannys are "touchy" especially at 200k miles. She didn't like the fresh fluid and the converter shuddered at 1k-1500rpm in 5th gear. A typical shudder response after a flush. The new fluid has detergents and sometimes needs an additive to help the converter not slip. Put a bottle of this in, she settled down after about 500 miles.

Magic in a bottle
When my father had a transmission shop weโd use this. And many years ago you could only buy this if you owned a mechanic shop. This one the Black bottle is for Plymouth, Chrysler, Dodge. The red bottle we would use for GM and the green bottle for Ford. When we would change transmission fluid and filters we would add a bottle of lubegard first then fill with transmission fluid. It doesnโt work instantly a 100 miles or so and you will feel a difference. It really works and does extend the life of your fluid and transmission. Drop the pan, change fluid and filter or drain and fill on some of the newer vehicle's that the transmission has to come out of the car to change the filter ! And remember never do a transmission flush because you can backwash the filter and metal will travel through the unit and ruin the transmission. Many quick lube places recommend this because when you change the transmission fluid not all of it comes out like when you change your motor oil. Don't do it, I have seen a lot of cars in my Fathers shop because of a transmission flush !!!

Disappointing Results Despite High Hopes
I recently tried the Lubegard 61910 Highly Friction Modified ATF Supplement (10 oz.) in hopes of improving my carโs transmission performance. My primary goal was to smooth out shifting and stop the occasional slipping. Initial Expectations: Based on the product description and positive reviews, I expected this supplement to make a noticeable difference in my transmission's behavior. The promise of enhanced performance and reduced slipping seemed like an ideal solution for my vehicle's issues. Usage and Results: I added the recommended amount to my transmission fluid and drove for over 1000 miles, giving the product ample time to take effect. Unfortunately, the results were underwhelming. My carโs transmission still slips a few times a day, and there hasnโt been any significant improvement in the smoothness of shifting. The occasional slipping remains a problem, and the overall performance of the transmission feels largely unchanged. While it may work for some, it did not address the issues in my vehicle, leaving me disappointed with the results.

A Miracle Worker for My 1993 Lebaron Transmission
My 1993 Lebaron Convertible, V6, has 250,000 km on it and runs very well. But in October, 2014, the automatic transmission suddenly started to slip so badly, it needed to be towed to a transmission shop. It was determined the transmission had to be rebuilt at a cost of $1500.00. Not wanting to spend anymore money on it, I had it towed home. I then learned about Lubegard on an internet car repair forum. Several people recommended this product because of its ability to either minimize or eliminate transmission shudder/slipping. I ordered it, installed it in the transmission, and for the next few weeks, I took it for numerous short drives around the neighbourhood. Each time I took it out on these drives, it would start slipping. I would end having to shut it off and start it up again to get it moving again. I didn't notice a change until a couple of months later and after I had put about a total of 100 km on the car during these test drives. The slipping has now completely gone away and as of the day of this review it's still working fine. Update: August 2/15 - the car is still running great! I've put 2000+ kilometres on it since adding Lubegard. I recommended this product to a friend and he has used it and he has experienced the same results! Update: November 2016 -started to shift roughly, so I added another bottle of Lubegard. Fixed the problem again! Update: July 18/17 - Now have 7000+ km on it since first bottle of Lubegard in 2014. Update: June 5/18 - Over 10,000 km since using Lubegard - still running strong
