Lots of fun, but controller a little finicky
Note to other users - if you have problems getting the controller to talk to the Fire Shot, turn the controller on, then the Fire Shot on, then move the controller about 1 inch away from the receiver on the Fire Shot. It has to be very, very close to establish the initial connection. After discussing this with Hobby Services, they offered to send me a pack of replacement propellers, which was very nice. My two young sons are having fun flying it.

One hit wonder
I loved this at first. Tons of power and stayed in the air no problem. After a reasonably soft landing the water, one of the motors only worked sometimes. I thought it was the battery but was the same after a recharge. Turns out it had loose wire. The right prop would only spin when the joystick was selecting both motors, not for turns. I took it off, fixed the wire and put it back on the plane. Unfortunately, it never flew again. The balance of power between the two motors is extremely touchy. Great concept, but this toy is only good for a one-time use. Oh, btw the little electric prop motors are NOT waterproof. They have vent openings that expose the insides to the air/water.

Excellent product!!!!!!!!
It is a really good plane. It is kind of hard to make turns so it take a lot of space. Along with that you got to make sure you use full throttle to take off than switch to cruising speed to not swerve, which can make it easy for the plane to hit someone, which can cause quite a bit of harm, but overal its a pretty good toy for kids that like planes.

You're better off paying more for a Joysway Dragonfly
Not up to hobby grade standards. Not enough power to take off from anything other than smooth asphalt. Not enough power to take off from water. One of the styrofoam pontoons broke within 5 minutes of use after hitting the ground from about 5 feet in the air. Also, the controls are backward. When you steer left, it causes the left motor to run, making it go right. Not worth the small price of $35. You're better off paying more for a Joysway Dragonfly.
