Perfect upgrade for the household
The Simer 4075SS-01 boost pump caught my attention because it was compact and the its performance fit my requirements. I chose to install the pump after my water filter system as to protect the pump small debris, and put check valves before and after the pump to keep the flow going in one direction. Doing this also keeps from pump full with water during maintenance work with filter changes, and water softener servicing. What I observed with the water pressure regulated to 40 psi, the pump will maintain a steady output of 80 psi. Noise level is quiet, like a soft humming sound (heard from upstairs), and the pump runs smooth, so it never vibrates at all to warrant using flex lines as other installs have recommended. I think with the check valves I placed accordingly there is a 7-10 second delay before the pump starts up. I have the pump mounted on two L-brackets attached to the wall that keeps the pump 12-inches off the floor, its small size freed up space in my small utility closes. The monitor panel is easy to read, there are no numbered fault codes to decipher, it simply tells you power on, pump on, failure, and reset. The power cord with 3-prong plug makes the Simer boost pump plug & play. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Highly recommended.

Highly Recommend.
Highly recommend. Works great. Never had any issues in last 3 years. Better than other expensive pumps like Grundfus which stops working after 1 year.

Awesome pump
Easy to install, works just like it's supposed to. Awesome boost in water pressure. Wish I had installed this pump several years ago!

Great pump
Reasonably price and does the job so you can take a shower and get the shampoo out of your hair. It is actually pretty quiet when it runs

What you should know.
This is my second purchase. My first one survived a number of years but began to leak around the seal. I had been happy with it so I purchased it again. This time the upgrade model from the Amazon warehouse. And at a discount supposedly because it was a damaged box. The new one arrived in about 3 days Took about an hour or less to install and sure enough I had my high pressure back again. BUT.... it would not shut off. I asked about an adjustment for the pressure controller but no answer. The pump is supposed to shut off when the pressure rises and the water stops flowing. But it ran constantly. I had to unplug it to get it to turn off. Not sure if the pump was bad or the pressure controller was not working. I purchased a pressure gauge (from Amazon of course.) So 4 days later I check the pressure. The house pressure without pump is 60 psi. With the pump running an the kitchen tap open it is about 90 psi. Shut off the kitchen tap and the pressure rises to 98 psi. But the pump keeps running. So now it is obvious that the pressure controller switch is faulty. I replaced the pressure controller that sits on top of the pump. That fixed it and now I am finally happy. AMAZON, you owe me $39 for the pressure controller I had to replace. As far as the discount for the damaged box...There was nothing wrong with the box other than someone had removed a mailing label.....I am now believing that this was a customer returned unit that was placed back into Amazon stock without testing it.

Very loud, not variable pressure - may work for you if those things don't matter
I'll say this pump definitely does what it's designed to do - this will add a good 35-40 PSI to your water pressure. The listing says it provides "up to" 40 PSI of addition pressure, which made me think this might be a variable speed pump. It's not variable speed. So if you're already getting 50 PSI and you're looking for just a little more, this will bump it up to 90 PSI, which is going to be too much pressure. That's not the end of the world, since you can just install a pressure regulator to limit the pressure to what you want or need. The deal-breaker for me on this is the noise. We had it installed in our garage which is attached to our house - the garage shares a wall with the kitchen. When the thing kicks on, it sounds like an air compressor or something, and we can even feel a bit of vibration. Bottom line, I would say this is a great option if you are at 40 PSI or less and need 35-40 pounds of additional pressure; and only if you have a remote place in which to install it that is nowhere near the main living area of your home because it's LOUD.

Quick and easy install...
...or so my plumber said. He was in and out real quick. Pump seems quiet, and the price was okay. It didn't add quite as much pressure as I'd hoped (not as much as the one it replaced), but it'll do. It's not adjustable. You just plumb it in, plug it in, and that's it. I've been having bad luck with pumps dying young, so I put this one on a wireless Xmas light timer. That way, I can hit the 30 minute button and go take a shower, or hit the 30 minute button and go wash the dishes. Most of the time, it's basically unplugged. My hope is it'll live longer if it's only on when I actually need it. We'll see. I did opt for the 4 yr extended warranty. I've never had a pump live that long, so it seemed like a safe bet. Would really like to have wasted my cash on that. I guess time will tell.

Awesome!
I’m on a 10 home community well. My initial pressure was 25psi, which made showers pretty unenjoyable. This pump boosted my pressure up to 65 psi and showers are now amazing! I also installed a pressure regulator just in case I get a pressure spike while boosting, I set it to 65 psi. One thing to take note of is must be mounted on a horizontal surface. I initially mounted it vertically on a wall and the pump wouldn’t shut off. I then went to the troubleshooting section of the manual and it said it must be mounted horizontal. Would have been nice if the manual said that in the instructions which I throughly read. You normally go to the troubleshooting section only if you have an issue. Other than that I’m very happy. I will be super happy if I get a lot of years out of it, time will tell.
