It is a handy tool, does the job when you want to scrape food out, but come on, Vitamix, you couldn’t have thrown one in when I bought the A3500???? I bet if they were not labeled “Vitamix” I could have picked one up at the Dollar store.

This os exactly what I needed for the Vitamix blender I bought on Prime Day. It's made from a very strong composite and can handle being put next to the blades. You need this to get everything out of that blender!

With a big silicone spatula, you get most of what you blended out, and your spatula acquires cuts round the edges. This makes the spatula less effective for future scraping jobs, and I'm not overjoyed about the prospect of little bits of silicone dropping off during use.I bought this because it's intended for use with a vitamix. It gets under the blades, and the curved side fits into the curved areas of the blender reasonably well for scraping out most of what you've been blending. We do a lot of thick sauces and smoothies and the like in the blender, so getting more of the sauce out is a good thing. Given the complex shapes of the inside of the blender, I don't think there's another shape that would do a better job than this one getting those thick bits of sauce to come out.It's not perfect, I don't think anything will get ALL of a sticky sauce out of a blender. But it does a good job and it seems tougher than the silicone spatula, it's not chewed up by the blades as much.All in all it's a good tool, though I could wish it were a bit lower price for what it is. You're not going to use it in the peanut butter jar or to get out the last bit of honey. You could, but you won't, because this tool is small and purpose built for the blender. So it's not really a multitasker. But it's not a bad choice for frequent blender users.

It not only worked well with my vita mix, but I use it to mix my lemon aid in my pitcher. It cleans my mixer beaters well.

Update: it looks like they changed the product image to show the scraper without the little cup. It's handy to have, and I'm increasing my rating now based on the product being as expected.The scraper works fine, but the image shows a closeup of the cup/storage piece. This does not come with the item. I'm not sure why they include a stand-alone image of that part when it is not part of this item at all. You get the scraper, and that is it. Just know what you are buying. Having said that, the scraper does exactly what you would want it to do.

I make small batches of stuff and thought this would help to get as much out of my Vitamix as possible. I think my silicone scrapper is just as useful thought. This gets a tiny amount more but can be a pain to work with. It's not a bad tool to have, but I rarely use it and wouldn't order it again.

Is perfect to get anything stuck under the blade.
