Can I use this for freshwater plants?

Yes, it is a phosphorous supplement and is similar to our Florin P. Please fill out the webform on the Brightwell site and we will try to help you with dosing. We will need to know something about the plants you are keeping and the size of your aquarium.

Does this increase phosphate levels?

Yes, that’s exactly what this is for. They include the calculation on the back to determine exactly how much to dose to reach your desired levels. Great product.

Do you have to use this in conjunction with the NeoNitrate additiive that they also make?

It is not required. If you are just phosphate deficient just add the neophos if your ok with the nitrate. However, if you are also nitrate deficient then yes you can use together. But you don’t have to use them together if you don’t need to.
