I have a Sony Handycam Camcorder Model #DCR-TRV340. Despite the fact that the advertisement states this cable is compatible with my model, it's not. It arrived today in an envelope, no packing slip, with an illegible handwritten return address. The cable was priced at under $2.00 and the shipping was around $5.00. The actual postage on the envelope was .20. I hope the seller is happy with my $7.00 because I will never order from this seller again. Many others carry the cables. Save yourselves the trouble, order from one of the reputable sellers.

Haven't been able to get intended use of this loading my video cassett tapes to my laptop. Guess I need another type of software.

Electric cord saves my project
This cord is a from an extremely old camcorder; the owner had lost the cord and I was desperate to get 8mm footage off of tapes an onto my laptop. The product was what it stated in the description and arrived in a timely manner.
